Listen man…..this is my last Caitlin Clark post for a bit. I am trying to prepare Caitlin Clark fans for the inevitable. The marriage between Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever is swiftly coming to an end. Two years from now, Caitlin will not be with the Fever. Last year, the Fever as an organization had the opportunity to see what life was like without Caitlin, and ya know what….it was pretty sweet. They made a deep playoff run. Attendance went down. Television ratings dropped……but the Fever became a better basketball TEAM when Caitlin left. What did the Fever do in the off-season? They used a LOTTERY pick to draft another POINT GUARD at Caitlin’s position! They did not just draft ANY Point Guard. They drafted the SEC’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year!!! They drafted the chic who locked Caitlin up in the 2024 NCAA Championship game, holding her to 10/28 shooting, and preventing her from winning a championship, Raven Johnson. Raven represents everything that Caitlin lacks: Strength, toughness, defense, durability, and good ball control with elite basketball IQ, and minimal turnovers. ————————————————- The @WNBA is a cut throat league. You produce as a player, or you lose your job in short order. The same applies to Coaches and GM’s. The Indiana Fever drafted Raven Johnson with a lottery pick because they did not believe in Caitlin. They did not believe in her shooting. They did not believe in her defense. They did not believe in her durability. They did not believe in her decision-making! Period! You heard it here first: Raven Johnson will be the starting PG for the Indiana Fever, and when they make THAT switch……look OUT!!!
