@GermanCarranza3 @KalebAtlanta @OrdotsarIC @KnightObilic Perhaps there would be an argument for that, but that still not what this guy’s saying.
English

@KalebAtlanta @anicholasr @OrdotsarIC @KnightObilic He does say sex outside of procreation is a sin.
English

@KnightObilic @KalebAtlanta Yes and St Augustine is clear on this

@AL_J82 The Church is a hospital for sinners. Of course there are those who are sick in its midst. If you ever visit an Orthodox church in person, you will most definitely have a different experience. Lord have mercy on us.

Ok, I think I'm done with the Ortho brain rot. As we can see from this week:
1. These aren't Christians
2. They've been exposed as hypocrites
3. The OrthroBro movement is under their father Satan
4. 98% of them will not engage you face to face
5. Their movement is now in decline.
One thing they did do, was boost my engagements and followers, united all of us who were at each other's throats at the beginning of this year, and garnered comments and reposts of my page from people like
@redeemed_zoomer
@GodLogic_GL
@RuslanKD
@Acts17David
@needGod_net
Time to get back to posting slides of early church father quotes and watching them squirm 🤣🤣

@LangNerdOrtho St. George’s always puts on a great festival!

@LangNerdOrtho I’ve been wanting to visit Greenville SC ever since I started seeing stuff about the town on social media. I think I even put an Orthodox Church as a bookmark on my map that I can visit.

@Nektarius_ @OrdotsarIC @KalebAtlanta Apparently, from this guy’s perspective, God explicitly commands mankind to sin. What insanity.

@OrdotsarIC @KalebAtlanta “Be fruitful and multiply” bro I’m cryne

I’m calm. I’m ok mentally but I am on my way to the ER because I cannot see out of my left eye and although it seemed like it might be getting better, suddenly the pain is excruciating. I can’t really see any letters or numbers out of it and any light sends a sharp stabbing pain behind my eye
Please pray for me. I’m sure they’ll check my skull pressure which I’m not excited about.
This is not a migraine. BTW.

@Ghfhfhg65 @ThePolemikOne I recommend asking your priest what the acceptable response would be. Because I assure you, this is not.

A lot of you guys (and Rachel Wilson) don’t seem to understand why people are defending Katherine so let me spell it out for you.
There is a huge difference between (A) an individual criticizing a group of people, and (B) a group of people harassing and humiliating an individual.
Take gender out of it. Take religion out of it. What’s left is a just a classic case of cyberbullying. That’s what you’re doing. That’s what you’re defending.
But, of course, we can’t take gender and religion out of it.
Katherine’s article talked about why many Orthodox women find the men in their parish undateable. The advice she gave on how men can improve was standard, Jordan-Peterson-circa-2018 stuff.
For instance, she said that a lot of guys come to church smelling like BO. And you know what? That’s absolutely true. I’ve had to talk to our altar servers about this.
Now, coming from Jordan Peterson, we acted like this was divine revelation. But hearing the same advice come from a woman, our poor little egos couldn’t take it.
Several of these “Orthobros” shared bikini pictures of Katherine that were leaked by her ex-boyfriend. Others circulated nudes over DMs, which were also leaked by her ex. And hundreds and hundreds of men came out to basically say, “She deserved it.”
Note that the overwhelming majority of women, dads, and priests had the same response: It doesn’t matter what Katherine wrote. It doesn’t matter how these pictures came to exist. NOTHING justifies this kind of harassment (which, by the way, is a felony or misdemeanor in all 50 states).
Was anyone justifying the existence of these photos? Of course not.
Now, here’s the problem. Some of us are so fragile, so weak—so completely emasculated—that we see this as a proportional response.
If you think a group of men sexually harassing a woman is the same as a woman writing an article saying that men should shower more, it proves to the world that (A) you are a total baby, and (B) you don’t understand how incredibly harmful this kind of harassment is for women.
Let’s keep driving this point home because, again, you guys don’t get it. One guy on here said: “People struggle with holding women accountable, hence why they never improve.” So, to be clear: women can’t help men “improve” by writing articles but men can help women “improve” by sexually harassing them? Revolting.
What’s truly amazing is that 99.9% of the guys harassing Katherine are doing so with fake names and fake photos. Because they’re cowards. They’ll go on X with their anonymous accounts, calling women whores and talking about restoring the patriarchy... but they’re terrified that their mom/sister/girlfriend/HR department will find out.
IF NOTHING ELSE, you inflicted a tremendous amount of suffering on a young woman... for writing a blog post. I would hope that, as Christians—as human beings—that would be enough to make you ashamed of your actions.
Christ and the Fathers NEVER tell us to reveal the sins of our brothers and sisters. They tell us over and over again to HIDE and even JUSTIFY our neighbor’s failings.
Our Lord and the Fathers also had a special love and care for women who were singled out by men for sexual transgressions. See the woman caught in adultery, the Samaritan woman, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Vitus and the prostitutes, etc.
Some of those women were repentant. Some were not! It didn’t matter to Our Lord or to the Saints. They were defenders of women, not their persecutors. Because they knew that, all too often, women are led into these behaviors by the men in their lives—whether it’s their boyfriends, their fathers, their husbands, or what have you.
And this is where “patriarchy” comes in. Folks are saying that the existence of these photos somehow discredits her article. How about the fact that her Orthobro ex-boyfriend saved the photos, and that his Orthobro friends were asking him to share them? Does that not prove Katherine’s point?
In a patriarchy, men are supposed to be held to a HIGHER standard than women. Men are supposed to PROTECT women.
Men can’t demand headship, demand women submit to them… then excuse their own public sins while gloating over women’s private failings. That’s not “patriarchy.” It’s just generic incel coomer woman-hating.
If you have any doubts about what I’ve written here, show your tweets to your mom and your priest. Ask them if you did the right thing by harassing that woman, or defending the men who harassed her. See what they have to say.

@Flammiferrus It’s amazing and I wish there were more parishes in the US

@anicholasr @AugustineOrtho This is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing. This does look a bit earlier than 20th century though. Is this from the Belokriniskaya?
