People are saying , UPSC vague/arbitrary papers allows coaching industries to survive. No,actually, #UPSC has time and again proved that NO COACHING MATERIAL can predict thier pattern. Whatever common theme is there , aspirants can read those things on thier own. Coaching ❌👎

Every year after GS1 Prelims, social media is flooded with debates on whether the paper was the toughest ever. Serious aspirants, however, are usually not debating online—they're taking a day off, regrouping, and getting back to Mains preparation. #UPSC

Have been told that UPSC Prelims 2026 Paper 1 is extremely tough and lengthy. 26 pages question paper as compared to 22 pages in past 3 years.

UPSC 2026 proved once again why it's the toughest exam in the country. No direct questions from any coaching test series or popular notes just pure application and analytical thinking. In an era of rote-heavy coaching factories, this unpredictability is a much-needed reminder, Real preparation > shortcuts.

UPSC Prelims 2026 - Paper I If today’s paper felt difficult or unpredictable, you are not alone. Most aspirants are feeling the same right now. Do not waste the next 2 hours discussing cut-offs, answers, or watching panic videos. Shift your entire focus to CSAT. Stay calm. Reset mentally. Trust your preparation. Sometimes, the difference between selection and failure is simply staying composed under pressure for 2 more hours. All the best. 🤍

The only leak-proof exam in India is UPSC CSE. Even if you get the paper a day before, there’s no guarantee you’ll clear it. So nobody bothers buying it. #upsc #upscprelims

UPSC CSE is not conducted merely to select candidates, but to eliminate them. Few institutions understand the optimum utilisation of elimination techniques as effectively as UPSC does.

3 years ago, it was the 2023 Prelims which made me realise the unpredictable nature of UPSC prelims. I was prepared and grind the entire 1.5 years before sitting for the exam. Similar to what aspirants are facing, i faced the same. You opened the paper; suddenly you saw 42 questions of a new pattern which no one had seen in the history of UPSC. That year I decided not to spend my entire 20s questioning my worth, because it can't be defined by one piece of paper. I said this earlier, saying it again. This exam is not for selection; it's an exam of elimination. It doesn't matter at all. If you're a school topper, college medallist, PHD in Maths from IIT bombay, Or MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. I have seen brilliant people wasting their entire 20s on this exam and they are left with shattered dreams, broken confidence and lifelong loss of self-esteem. I just went through the 2026 Prelims paper, and the similar thing happened again; the unpredictability is still there. And you must be questioning your worth. I'll say it again, don't. you're much bigger than this. This exam will test you in every possible way if you're a serious aspirant. Those who are pretending to prepare, they are just fooling around. It will break you physically, mentally, psychologically, and financially. You will lose friends; you will lose your relationship; your parents will also lose hope after a few attempts. You will be left all alone to fight this deadly battle. After the exam, I decided to take a pause in my journey as i was still below 2, and i was so sure, i am not going to spend my entire 20s chasing this unpredicatbility. I decided to use the knowledge and the confidence this preparation has given me to make an alternate life for me. My posts went viral; i got amazing opportunities, the clients, and the jobs. People started knowing me. I was overwhelmed, received greetings from IAS offices, coaching institutes, founders, and big names from various industries. I decided to build something from scratch and joined a startup; side by side, I signed 3 clients and started earning a lakh. 10 days ago, it was fucking 0. In the end, I have a message for all the aspirants who are down today, questioning their worth: life is much, much, much bigger than 1 measly exam. You can bounce back from anywhere. Just be practical and don't be afraid to start again from scratch. Those who are above 20, actively work on Plan B and prepare a roadmap for 1 year and start earning; it will boost your confidence and you will start appreciating this beautiful life. I have around 7000 aspirants in the community on my TG channel and around 25000 aspirants connected on X. On a daily basis I still receive 5 DMs from aspirants who are in school or college. Please do not skip your college and delve into UPSC completely. A good college doesn't only give you an education; it prepares you for life, you build your social cirlce, frinds for life; it build your character, you become confident, you are known for something. Please don't sacrifice your college for UPSC. pick one skill and be good at it. And in the end, UPSC is an exam of elimination, always remeber that. Out of 10 lakh people , only 1000 will make to the final list, so rest of you're are worthless? No it's a badly designed system to fail you. Take this exam as an xperinece, if you gove 2 years sincienrly, it will change the way you look at but never get attactched to it.

✅My Initial Honest Review of UPSC Prelims 2023. - Paper was "Extremely Tough", I'd say toughest of all time. I don't see any rationale behind such paper, I still couldn't understand, what they are trying to test. Many hearts will be broken, Many hearts will cry. Because this is only exam where your hard work might not pays off. - This paper battered everyone who was sitting in the exam hall. I haven't seen a single face after first paper who was not sad. - Now it's time to face the reality: You can't rely on this exam solely for your career options, Because it has passed beyond knowledge, luck and skill. It needs something beyond that, which I don't know right now. - Glorification of this exam should stop now, And whoever is saying, "lage raho ho jaega", Now it's not like that. No matter how much you have studied, the initial reaction after seeing this paper was like; You will definitely loose your morale. I don't know, I'm going to clear this one or not, If i do clear,my contribution will only be 50%. Rest is something else. If I don't, I'm not going to cry or get sad. It's just an another exam and should be treated like that. One more thing I would like to tell you all and myself as well, If it was your serious 2nd or 3rd attempt... Do not go for it again without securing financial independence. First build your alternate career, then if you get time give this exam. Do not, I repeat do not waste your entire 20s in this unpredictable exam. Plan B is not an option now. It's a necessity. Well that's all i have to say now.😃
