JOB DONE! Horrible watch but Arsenal in back-to-back semi finals for the first time in the club's history. We were nervous and patched up but some big individual performances saw us through - thought we closed the game out well. Zubimendi and Hincapie really strong, Rice walked through. YES!

The one thing I can confirm after a decade of being an entrepreneur and observing entrepreneurship is this - I have not seen a cynical or negative person ever make it. You need to have a constant eye on what is possible. Most people who make it are contrarians but builder contrarians are still positive about building something. The only successful negative and cynical people are probably finance people who learn short selling. But my sense is that even they have a modicum of positivity because at some stage they need to cover their short position. Maybe the money they make shorting eventually makes them optimistic about something?

I've just done a 1150+ kms road trip in South West India. If one were to spend all their time on X and other social media you'd feel India is collapsing. If you went on the road across India - the feeling is very different. India's built some good infra. Power, Roads, Internet. I've done the same stretch about 9 years back and the transformation is extra ordinary. As they say - you overestimate what you can do in a year and underestimate what can be done in a decade. The tourism related ecosystem is 10x better. Is it world class - absolutely not - but we are getting there. I feel very optimistic. I'd want to continue to invest more in India.

Africa saw a lot worse done to them by Europeans across the late 1800s and all of 1900s. Just that we didnt have communication means to know it. We've probably progrssed enough to be able to discuss this across borders because of the internet. Whether you can fight the bully is completely another thing.

As we get closer to the time of the season where we can win things, I think we need Saka to hit something closer to his best form. An in-form Saka can make a performance like this look a lot better. So many good moves where we got it to him in space but they came to nothing

Leave densely populated metros in India for 10 years. Move to smaller cities. Villages with good electricity and internet. There will be unhinged construction in the big cities. Pollution won't end for a decade minimum. Residential Development and Redevelopment alone will go on for 10 years. No rules around timings are followed. You'll hear construction at 3 am. Urban Infra building is unending. Metros and bridges are often made with zero safety protocols. Corruption, Incompetence, Poor planning. Until India's per capita income triples from here, things like pollution and road safety etc won't matter to enough number of people. Stay away from the crowd.
