The cricket content economy has plummeted since the blanket ban on RMG. There’s a deep rooted issue that I wanna highlight today. A lot of the media and fantasy platforms that drove millions of daily traffic are struggling to even keep up with server costs today. People were laid off en mass, months of unpaid salaries, after promises and assurances. They’ve all been ghosted now by the owners. They all blame the policy for this downfall. A lot of them, including founding team are still owed money, even PF. Whats (not) surprising is that the ownership of a lot of these seeder content platforms had changed hands to people with a ton of money but no direct connection to the industry or sport. Founders Ive spoken to now recall the new owners had “other interests” dubious business practices that they weren’t concerned with, so ignored. In the underbelly most of them were directly or indirectly associated with betting. Companies registered in tax heavens and what not. Fantasy - content - social media engagement was the gateway to draw users to their real businesses. The ban may or may not have been a good decision, but bro to bro. If you’re building or running something where you even suspect the owners / investors have other illicit businesses, you should run and run fast. The law, karma whatever may not catch up with them. But people at responsible positions end up facing the wrath and unfulfilled promises towards 100s of people you hired on your trust. A sad ending for people who entertained 100s of millions of cricket fans for almost a decade.

Government of India will never understand this economic terrorism by platforms. Often done by some employees on behalf of competition.

There is an active and concerted (probably paid) effort to undermine Hindu history, Indian history and culture— from TikTok reels about aarti being syncretic ‘punjabi culture’ to Indus Valley etc being Pakistani history. Any time you see a tweet like that, please screenshot and respond. Remind these paki pseudo intellectuals that Jinnah created Pakistan to separate the muslims of Pakistan from India and Hindus. Remind them that Pakistan is an artificial state, run by a mercenary group (called Pak Army), that has failed to live up to its promise of inception- from being a puritan islamic state, to Kashmir, to democracy, and everything else.
