Human Resources - Communities Mint Gm, and my apologies to everyone eligible-but-unable to mint one of @TaborRobak’s Human Resources on Verse recently. We came up against some delegate issues, which are now resolved.  We’re going to be opening 300 spots up this Friday at 6pm, fcfs, to everyone who was affected. The works will be free to claim. 6/7 All four artists chart an evolution, from the internet's early utopian promise to its current algorithmic complexity, representing an ongoing investigation into how digital culture continues to reshape aesthetic possibilities.

5/7 Evil Biscuit represents the generation that inherited this lineage. Emerging out of the Web3, his digital collages compress a dizzying number of references and images into new, unstable compositions embracing the network's logic of appropriation, recombination, memetic mutation.

4/7 They converged on a specific approach: appropriation, manipulation, and endless reproduction as core artistic strategies. The internet as terrain where virtual and physical space collapse.

3/7 Rafman garnered attention by excavating Google Street View and virtual worlds. Cortright built digital paintings from layers harvested online. Ito endlessly reproduced a stock photo, probing originality, authorship, and value under conditions of infinite circulation.

2/7 Rafman and Cortright were central figures in this emerging movement, developing new ways of working around authorship and circulation shaped by the web; Ito’s practice engages these questions from a different vantage point.

1/7 We’re excited to present four artists whose work emerged directly from the internet. What became known as 'post-internet art' emerged in the late 2000s with a generation of artists who began treating the internet not as subject matter, but as the fundamental condition of contemporary practice.
