Looking for talented freelance designer who's really good with social content creation, marketing material and production work (for mymind). Anyone's portfolio I should be looking at? We are looking for someone who: 1. Has a great and diverse sense of of art direction. We don't need someone with a signature style, but someone with a genuine eye and love for experimentation. Sort of like a commercial chameleon. 2. Can take a concept or story and just run with it. Doesn't need to be managed through every decision and requires little handholding. 3. Has a strong background or love for proper graphic design. Someone who understands the idea comes first and the execution is always in service of it, and not the other way around. And can do all of this quickly, because that's just the reality of this kind of work. 4. Someone who breathes social media and has a bit of a feeling on what makes people stop in their scroll. Some deliverables examples: story driven carousels for IG/Substack, beautiful clean visuals for email newsletters, feature announcements, creative assets for our essays. We do NOT need a UI/UX person. We do NOT need a product person. We do NOT need a brand designer. Motion knowledge is a bonus but not that important. We need a social media native content/design creator with a strong graphic design background. Can also be someone early in their career, the technical work itself isn't the main challenge here, but more the combination of speed and conceptual execution. Thank you! PS: I won't be looking at anyone who does not have a portfolio or proper work samples because that just wouldn't work here.

It’s been a long time coming, but I’m excited to join @fal as the new Head of Design. I’ve been collaborating with @gorkem and @burkaygur on the fal brand closely over the past few years, so it all made (too) much sense to continue this journey on a more permanent basis (and they could pull me out of FT-retirement). Excited to explore the space of generative media and work alongside the brightest minds. As for the studio, I’ll be still taking on projects under my studio still but on a much much more limited basis. 😌

I've been thinking a lot recently about what figure a month will genuinely be enough to make me happy. 10k, 20k, 30k, 100k? I well on the way to higher numbers but so is the added stress. I've worked more than I have ever in my life, my sleep has suffered, I rush gym sessions and burnt out is becoming evident. While I am very driven person, I also love to be present, travel, enjoy film, music events and family. Balance seems possible but not without sacrificing a level of finance. So for the people that manage 100k months (I'm talking solo profit, not studios). How tf do you do it and do you have a life?

As we race toward a future of AI generated art, illustration, photography - there will come a point where very little of what is 'new' will be made by human hands. Thinking back to the awe of seeing @putnamstudio's illustrations for @Dropbox for the first time, or the 3D work that @anna_paschenko and @kajdax did at @Pitch or anything @justinpervorse did at @Mailchimp or @slaterdesign at @asana . The impact they had across product and brand design in SaaS was profound. Not sure we'll see too many more of those moments again. We're gaining a ton, but losing something in the process...
