Look. You are supposed to be a politically independent public service. You know pronoun choice is political. You could have just said “the defendant rang the police” I don’t know why you are intent on entering a fierce debate But you know you shouldn’t be We are all tired of this.

Funny how the Speaker now says he “can’t” tell the PM to answer the question. Yet when Boris Johnson was in office, he did exactly that—on record. Same chair, different standards.

🚨And there you have it. Lindsay Hoyle misled the house by omitting the fact that he has the power to pause proceedings and ask the prime minister to answer the question. He was quite happy to do this with Boris, but he REFUSES to do it with Keir Starmer. Absolute disgrace.
Lee Harris@LeeHarris

🚨Father of the House Sir Edward Leigh raises a point of order about Keir Starmer NEVER answering questions at PMQs. Lindsay Hoyle says there is nothing he can do. NONSENSE! He can pause proceedings and ask Keir Starmer to answer, but he *never* does. ABSOLUTELY USELESS!

Jerusalem 1961 The world watched as one of history’s greatest war criminals stood trial. Hannah Arendt, a Jewish philosopher who had barely escaped Nazi Germany, sat in the courtroom to observe Adolf Eichmann — the man who had organized the trains that carried millions of Jews to their deaths. She expected a monster. A fanatic. A face twisted by hatred. What she saw instead was far more disturbing. Eichmann looked and sounded like a mid-level bureaucrat. Dry, pedantic, obsessed with schedules, rail timetables, and efficiency. He spoke not of ideology or bloodlust, but of paperwork, quotas, and “following procedures.” He had helped murder millions not out of sadism or rage, but because it was his job. He never questioned the orders. He simply carried them out. It was this thoughtlessness — not monstrous cruelty — that horrified Arendt most. She called it the “banality of evil”: the terrifying realization that ordinary, unremarkable people can commit unimaginable evil simply by refusing to think. Arendt had already seen democracy collapse once in her lifetime. She understood that freedom rarely dies with dramatic violence. More often, it erodes quietly — through propaganda, lies, and the exhaustion of thought. When people can no longer tell truth from falsehood, they become easy to rule. They either believe everything or nothing at all. True freedom, she warned, demands thinking citizens: people who question, who refuse to obey blindly, who insist on judging right from wrong for themselves. Her warning remains urgent today: The greatest threat is not always the fanatical ideologue shouting slogans. Sometimes evil arrives quietly — in ordinary clothes, speaking the language of bureaucracy, and simply “doing its job.”

As someone who studied sociology and criminology at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, I’ve spent years examining how prisons manage risk, vulnerability, and gendered violence. The placement of Vivienne Taylor — a biologically male prisoner convicted of stalking and threatening a female surgeon — into HMP Downview women’s prison is not “inclusion.” It is reckless ideology dressed up as compassion.Prisoners do not get to choose their sex-segregated estate. Full stop.Female inmates’ dignity is in danger. Their safety is in danger. And they are being forced to participate in a dangerous man’s delusions — day in, day out — simply by existing in the same wing, same showers, same spaces. This isn’t care. This is the state compelling vulnerable women to affirm someone else’s fantasy at the expense of their own human rights and physical security.Single-sex prisons exist for a reason. Criminology 101: when you remove sex-based boundaries in high-risk environments, you do not get “equality” — you get predation.Women prisoners are not collateral damage for someone else’s identity project.Policy must follow evidence, not narrative.#SexMatters #SingleSexPrisons #WomenAreNotCollateral
Sex Matters@SexMattersOrg

It’s appalling that a trans-identifying man who stalked and threatened women is being held at a women’s prison. “Women in Downview are being used as props for the affirmation of men”. @DerryBanShee in @Daily_Express on trans prisoner Vivienne Taylor express.co.uk/news/uk/218621…

This is bang out of order. The “victims commissioner” is actively campaigning for the government attack on the right to trial by jury and when Vera Baird is asked about a victim of crime she says “But she’s on her own” These two are weaponising victims. Disgracefully.
Dr Kieran Mullan MP 🇬🇧 🇺🇦@KieranMullanUK

Absolutely extraordinary remarks by the current and former Victims Commissioner - who should give a voice to all victims - dismissing the views of victims because they don't agree with them on curtailing Jury Trials. Minimising victims is exactly what they are supposed to oppose.

The #1 cause of death for pregnant women is homicide. Men kill more pregnant women than the top 3 obstetric causes combined. It’s not “hating men” to cite this FACT.

A new study "identified 74 eligible articles in psychiatry, authored by 27 U.S.-based physician-authors. These authors received a combined total of $4.54 million in payments from industry. Of this, $645,135 (14.2%) were not disclosed to the journals". medicalresearch.com/behind-the-pay…

Look at this creepy recommendation to isolate a patient and make sure they're all alone while a doctor or nurse discusses euthanasia with them. This is professional advice from the @cpso_ca. Euthanasia assessors and providers ARE the undue influence.

"I don't blame jury trials at all." That's the verdict of Sir Brian Leveson - Chair of the Independent Review of Courts - when I asked why trials are taking so long. So why is David Lammy and the Government scrapping jury trials for so many?

A proposed amendment to the Bill from @thebarcouncil and @TheCriminalBar Replace courts without juries with ……sexual offences/domestic abuse courts that prioritise those cases. They already work in Preston Crown Court And reduce delays. Without a requirement to reduce our jury trials. #JusticeNeedsJuries
Joanna Hardy-Susskind@Joanna__Hardy

Giving evidence to the House of Commons Committee scrutinising the Bill to restrict jury trials, the Chair of the Bar suggests that instead of restricting juries that we have specialist courts focused on sexual offences & abuse cases which: ‘was in the Labour party manifesto’🔥
