@ThatFiendd Omg finally I see someone else talking about this. Yes, that ending is perfect for the book versions but given the depth of the love and the backstory of the TV series Az and Crowley it just doesn’t work for them anymore.

@Vite_Wind @slightly_artist I think it just elaborates in greater detail on what many fans viscerally understood: Crowley's decision was that of an terminally weary man, sick of it all. And it dissected what Crowley said even in the trailer: you can't change the system, it is by design rigged against you.

As many of you have already said here, they wouldn’t last even a day as humans, which is pretty clear from Crowley’s example after losing his demonic powers. They’re far too used to being who they’ve been for all these thousands of years and to living among humans as supernatural
