Took a couple of hours out to walk amongst the #Bluebells, it was glorious! #Birdsong, #Lambs in the field nearby and hardly another soul around.

"It is a serious thing just to be alive on this fresh morning in this broken world." - Mary Oliver I am continually humbled by the healing power of nature. No matter how troubled your mind and how loud your worries, even a short walk among trees and birdsong eases them a little. Your shoulders drop, your breathing slows, and for those few moments, nothing else intrudes. Your world shrinks to just the sound of the breeze and your soft footsteps on the path ahead. 📍 Peak District, England

Fresh air, open road, and the quiet satisfaction of putting one foot in front of the other. This is my Comeback Tour, countryside edition and 18,000 steps clocked so that means my lungs are working again!!! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

As many of you will be aware my son Tom was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2024. This is a life limiting debilitating illness. I'm hoping to cycle 250km in May to raise money for the MNDA. All donations are gratefully received. facebook.com/donate/8688589…

I’ve spent my life around British craftsmanship… and few names carry the weight, history and quiet pride of Denby For over 200 years, Denby has been part of our homes… our kitchens… our everyday moments. The mug you reach for in the morning, the plate at family gatherings, the pieces that quietly become part of your story. To hear that this great Derbyshire institution is now under real threat… is deeply saddening. But the story isn’t over yet. If you feel, as I do, that Denby is worth saving …there are simple but meaningful ways you can help: • Visit their website and learn more about what’s happening • Share their campaign far and wide … awareness truly matters • Support by purchasing Denby pieces, if you’re able • Visit the Pottery Village here in Derbyshire and show your support in person • Keep an eye out for their petition and lend your voice This is about more than pottery… it’s about protecting British skill, heritage, and the livelihoods of hundreds of people. Let’s not lose something so special without a fight. 🔗 Find out more and support here: denbypottery.com #SaveDenby - Charles x #DenbyPottery #Denby #lifestyle

It’s that time of year - folks asking us about #bumblebees - WHY THEY’RE SEEING THEM ON THE GROUND - so here’s a thread to explain. Please #retweet! Every queen that survives means a new colony that gets to exist & produce queen #bees for next year! So important to #share! 1/9

@carl_thompson70 @AllotmentHelen Thought you might appreciate this marvellous image, as I do! Hope all is well and plans afoot for planting/growing in the allotment, also that Bees are thriving.

L.S. Lowry died on this day 50 years ago. I recently read a biography of this wonderfully ordinary chap. He turned down five major honours including a knighthood (more than anyone else). He couldn't do with the mither. He owned just a couple suits, one of which he painted in.

@anglicanreader Thanks for all your inspiring posts, Chris. I made this piece with glazed Porcelain feathers spiralling around Emily Dickinson's beautiful poem, Hope. #AlwaysHope

When the days feel that they can't get any colder and darker and greyer, the first snowdrops appear, pushing their brave, bright shoots out of the hard earth and into the sun. They're more than flowers, they're little spikes of hope, shining out from under the trees and along the verges to say, it's all OK, it's all going to plan, hang in there. 📍 Peak District, England © Peaklass, all real, no AI

I’ve made us a new butter dish. It’s taken ages and that’s what makes it so brilliant for me. I enjoy taking things slowly. I love decorating with slip. Hope it fires. #ceramics #pottery
