Claim 1: “In one year 1 classroom in Bradford, only four of twenty eight pupils spoke English as their first language. Teachers report spending large amounts of time simply mediating between dozens of languages, making normal teaching almost impossible and slowing down the rate of progress for everybody.”  Reality: I cannot find any evidence of this claim at all. I checked local, and national news, and his own X page. I believe from the lack of referencing, and the way it’s written, to be an AI hallucination.

EXC: .@GoodwinMJ’s new book “Suicide of a Nation: Immigration, Islam, Identity” is out now, and I’m only 5 chapters in and have found a huge amount of what appears to be false quotes and basic misinterpretations of data, that appear to be AI hallucinations. Matthew, can you explain the claims you made in the book that I’ve outlined in the below thread?

@eiversa1 @LBC I don’t think that’s true. There is often Jehovah witnesses and evangelicals standing around in my town reading bi me verses. In my local park on Christmas Day there is a church worship going on. Then I remember Haría Krishnas parading.

@LBC @lewis_goodall In answer to your question Lewis, yes I would feel dominated, intimidated and insulted. How dare anyone think they can just impose their religion on all of us in a public space. Prayer is a private matter for places of worship.

@JonathanACBrown In a way it’s misogynistic for Jenrick to assume women are only happy if they are mixed in with men. Many women would choose their own space. You don’t find monks in a convent !

@CouncillorJamal @LBC @lewis_goodall I’m not sure that this is typical but from my visits it seems women are cooking, laughing, gossiping and having fun with their children( who are all running around) whilst the men are in the prayer room. I know where I would rather be. It’s a free choice for them.

In my experience, Muslim women actively choose to pray separately from men. It’s not simply something imposed on them - and assuming it is risks being its own kind of sexism. At the same time, it’s not for me (or any politician) to speak on behalf of Muslim women. Their voices should be centred in this conversation. We should be cautious about narratives that strip women of agency under the guise of defending them. Jenrick is simply jumping on a Islamophobic political strategy with no care or concern for women’s rights and freedoms.

@luxemiaa 2 of my kids have red hair but both my husband and myself do not! The gene is a recessive gene so it can appear in later generations. Interestingly my sister has red hair but her children do not. That led to interesting conversations with strangers when we all went out

This girl on TikTok said: My sister gave birth to a red-haired daughter. But she and her husband are both dark-haired. No one in our family has red hair. My sister insists that her husband's great-grandfather was red-haired, and that's how it was passed down. Her husband didn't believe her, especially since she has this one red-haired colleague at work. Anyway, he insisted on a DNA test, which they did after huge fights and screaming matches. My sister threw the paper in his face. It showed 99.9% he's the father but he still.....

My grandson came home yesterday and told his mum that they had a lesson on muslims, and their religion in school that day. Today, my family decided that as Christians, catholics, and with Jewish relatives as well as women's rights activists aplenty within our family, this was not appropriate, needed, or wanted. Monday, the head teacher will have a complaint she never imagined, she will never forget and will never wish repeated.

My sister threw the paper in his face. It showed 99.9% he's the father. But he still doesn't believe it, says the test could have been faked or someone paid off the lab. He wants to do another one at a different lab, but my sister is afraid this will definitely lead them to divorce He's not even talking to my sister right now. But he says it's better to find out the truth and live with a clear conscience. He doesn't want to raise someone else's child. I believe my sister 100%, but I have to admit the situation is pretty bizarre. Does anyone know anything about genetics?

The bankruptcy of NCP carparks in the UK is a classic example of listening to management consultants who will talk about "unlocking value", in NCP's case selling properties and leasing them back only to discover that lack of ownership has unforeseen consequences. Always own land

@BenGrahamUK Because private equity came along with borrowed money, bought the company and then saddled it with its own purchase debt. And then they flogged off all the assets and leased them back on inflexible agreements. Hybrid working affected revenue. Debt no longer serviceable. RIP.

NCP has gone into administration. They’ve been running car parks since 1931, and somehow ended up £305m in debt. Surely the maintenance for a car park is simple: ticket machines, barriers, lights, and occasional cleaning. How can a business model literally based on people paying to park go bankrupt?
