Beauty of music and nature 🌺🌺
The bear Synochok lived in a small metal cage of only 4m² for nearly 9 years, forced to perform circus tricks, constantly moved in a vehicle, and was denied freedom 💔 After being rescued and moved to a new home, Synochok completely transformed into a joyful and happy bear, the life it truly deserves 💗 📹whiterock.savewildfund

Well f*cking said. "Hamas wanted to kill everybody in Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu should have gone harder, and he should have eliminated Hamas immediately. There's no genocide in Gaza. Hamas knew they can never beat the IDF. Why did they start the war?"

The plastic ring around a duck's beak doesn't kill it fast. It starves it slowly. 2 seconds and a couple cuts fixes this problem.

Nightingales are at risk....😡👇Come on @HomesEngland why here? A wildlife charity is objecting to plans for 450 new homes due to concerns they could threaten resident nightingales. Homes England's proposals is for land next to the Chattenden Woods and Lodge Hill Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) on the Hoo Peninsula in Kent. The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) says the area is the most important nightingale site in the UK and is home to more than 1% of the country's population which could be disturbed by humans and pet cats if the plan is approved. Homes England said extensive surveys had allowed it to understand how future impact could be avoided and its plan had been shaped in consultation with ornithological experts. A spokesperson for the developers said: "They [the proposals] are evidence-based and designed to minimise risks to nightingales, with clear measures in place to mitigate any impacts. "As part of our long-term commitment to nature-positive objectives, the plans include significant improvements to nightingale habitat across the wider Lodge Hill estate." Concerns about the impact housing could have on nightingales in the area were also raised in 2013, and they were flagged again 10 years later. The RSPB says nightingales usually return to the same place to nest every year and nest on, or near, the ground so their eggs and young are at higher risk. It added that the UK's population of nightingales had already suffered a 41% decrease between 1995-2023. Read more here: bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

As a schoolboy I once played Malvolio in Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’; the pompous, authoritarian steward of Olivia’s household. I completely misunderstood the role and didn’t realise I was having the piss taken out of me for the entire play, which made for an excellent performance. I cannot think of a better parallel for Sir Keir Starmer’s time in office. Vain and oblivious, he stumbles and stutters his way through his premiership. Or perhaps you can think of a more suitable Shakespearean character?

The mask has slipped. Green Party types are horrified at the idea of illegal migrants being housed in their leafy, middle-class enclaves. It’s too expensive, they say! Translation: fine for the working-class streets of County Durham, but keep them away from our artisanal bakeries. This stinking system is built on the backs of communities who have seen their streets transformed while the liberal elite lecture from behind high walls. It’s not just stupid; it’s a national disgrace. Time to put our own people first for a change. #ReformUK

Only a Labour government can deliver for the environment and nature. Labour is rewilding, reintroducing endangered species and planting new forests, while the Greens have given up on nature and oppose solar farms and Reform wants to bring back fracking. theguardian.com/environment/20…
