The British fugitive behind a $600m US tax fraud has now sent me a "FORMAL NOTICE OF TORTIOUS INTERFERENCE, ACTUAL MALICE, AND TRANSATLANTIC LIABILITY". He says I triggered "Pinkerton Liability" and must answer for the "math of IRS Algorithm 810". And pay him $120m.

@DanNeidle I have a copy of the complete BSB CSV file dated 8 December 2025 and it shows him as holding a PC until 30/04/2026.

Today's mystery: the Bar Standards Board tells me that Setu Kamal, the barrister who lost a £8m libel claim against me, is no longer authorised to practice. Why? When? The BSB won't say.

@BarbaraRich_law I agree that they did so for the Bar. I would wish, however, that a regulator who becomes aware of a problem such as this has a meaningful way to alert other regulators. It’s of limited value to consumers if Krougman can just leap from one false title to the next with impunity.

@anonlawprof The Bar Standards Board was an effective gatekeeper in Krougman’s case. Less so the various Bar-connected associations he joined and which allowed him to dress up and pretend to be a barrister or NL equivalent, and least of all Bloomsbury Publishing, for whom there’s no excuse

Fabian has been a mutual for some time, but I can’t accept this story as a minor slip deserving sympathy. It is dishonest to claim an unearned qualification. And there is a history in which he has described himself as a barrister. He is not. These things matter in our profession

Maybe just buying suits & walking up and down Chancery Lane clutching a blue notebook. His social media suggested hearings & meetings. I think @barstandards should have been more forceful when they had a chance

Rather less so the ICC Bar Association and the South Eastern Circuit Bar Mess Foundation, amongst other groups

@stuartadamsuk There is a personality type that is drawn to that sort of grandiosity about themselves. I came across it in a case I did years ago about a legacy to the “Ancient Catholic Church”
