🚨 Brutality Caught on Camera in Bettiah This incident is from Bettiah, where a minor was allegedly brutally beaten by police personnel just for recording a video as they arrived at his house. The visuals clearly show the level of force used this isn’t law enforcement, this is sheer abuse of power. Such actions cannot be justified under any circumstances. Never gets old watching people get shocked at the valuation or employee count of a thing and try to dismiss it with the perceived complexity of the technology (“just a script!”). It’s almost as if… the code isn’t the valuable part. It’s a rite of passage to figure that out.

Yup, platform activity is surging. There were 1 billion commits in 2025. Now, it's 275 million per week, on pace for 14 billion this year if growth remains linear (spoiler: it won't.)
GitHub Actions has grown from 500M minutes/week in 2023 to 1B minutes/week in 2025, and now 2.1B minutes so far this week.
So we're pushing incredibly hard on more CPUs, scaling services, and strengthening GitHub’s core features.
And as a fine purveyor of hand-crafted shit code for many years, I'm not gonna weigh in on that. 🤣

A friend at Oracle got impacted in the layoffs. Was on a call with him for about 30 minutes. Thankfully, he has ~18 months of safety net and kids education taken care of for 3 years, something we’ve discussed way too often. He’s really good at his work. But one thing he said stayed with me: “I’d rather earn ₹12L and take the rest as benefits… I just don’t want to pay tax.”

Bernie thinks this is "fair" because he starts from the premise that your wealth belongs to the collective and you are permitted to keep what it decides you don't need. "You'd still have $2.5 billion" is not an argument for fairness. It is a looter calculating how much he can take before the victim fights back.
Fairness is not determined by how much the victim has left. It is determined by whether the taking was justified. A man who robs you of $100 and leaves you $1,000 has not been "fair." He is still a thief.
Rights are not proportional to net worth. They are absolute.

Ok, Jamie: Let me clear things up for you. If my 5% wealth tax on billionaires was enacted you’d owe $135 million more in taxes & a family of 4 making $150,000 or less would receive a $12,000 payment. Oh, and you’d still be worth more than $2.5 billion. Seems pretty fair to me.

🚨 CRITICAL: Active supply chain attack on axios -- one of npm's most depended-on packages.
The latest axios@1.14.1 now pulls in plain-crypto-js@4.2.1, a package that did not exist before today. This is a live compromise.
This is textbook supply chain installer malware. axios has 100M+ weekly downloads. Every npm install pulling the latest version is potentially compromised right now.
Socket AI analysis confirms this is malware. plain-crypto-js is an obfuscated dropper/loader that:
• Deobfuscates embedded payloads and operational strings at runtime
• Dynamically loads fs, os, and execSync to evade static analysis
• Executes decoded shell commands
• Stages and copies payload files into OS temp and Windows ProgramData directories
• Deletes and renames artifacts post-execution to destroy forensic evidence
If you use axios, pin your version immediately and audit your lockfiles. Do not upgrade.
