@hyderabaddoctor I’m a bit skeptical doctor. Who funded these studies? Nescafe Gold? I’m happy if true - coffee & tea lover - With milk though. I hope milk doesn’t invalidate the coffee benefits. Araku Grand reserve, I recommend.

Your morning coffee is not just about the caffeine kick, it is a long-term investment in your brain health.
✅A landmark study published in JAMA (2026) has reinforced the powerful relationship between coffee/tea intake and a significantly reduced risk of dementia and cognitive decline.
1. The Synergistic "Sweet Spot"
The study followed nearly 500,000 participants and discovered that both coffee and tea drinkers were protected.
✅Optimal Intake: 2–3 cups of coffee Or 1-2 cups of tea per day.
The Result: A dramatic reduction in the risk of dementia, stroke, and post-stroke dementia compared to non-drinkers.
2. Beyond Disease Prevention: Enhanced Function
Regular consumers showed superior performance in:
🔸Visual Memory: Recalling patterns and locations.
🔸Executive Function: Better decision-making and planning.
🔸Processing Speed: Faster reaction times across all age groups.
3. The Science of Neuroprotection
The researchers highlighted three main mechanisms:
🔸Anti-Inflammatory: Compounds like chlorogenic acid (in coffee) and catechins (in tea) reduce oxidative stress in the brain.
🔸Vascular Support: Improved endothelial function leads to better cerebral blood flow, keeping neurons well-oxygenated.
🔸Metabolic Health: Both beverages improve insulin sensitivity, which is a critical factor in preventing the metabolic dysfunction often seen in Alzheimer’s.
If you have been looking for a simple, evidence-based way to protect your cognitive longevity, the answer is likely sitting in your mug right now.

Five step hotel pre-shower routine for those who wear glasses:
1. Step into the shower, squint to read labels - unsuccessfully.
2. Step out, wear glasses, step back in.
3. Memorise the sequence: left-shampoo, middle-conditioner, right-shower gel.
4. Step out to keep the glasses safely back.
5. Return… now to figure out how the shower knob works.

@parrysingh Novel thought. However, same people who litter on Indian roads are at their best behavior in Singapore. No littering & behave properly because actions have consequences there.
English

@sunnylifer My guess is most people are simply oblivious. The idea of personal space - and what counts as intrusion - is still evolving. Not long ago, peeking into someone’s newspaper or blasting loudspeakers all night was normal - maybe still is. So a few extra decibels don’t even register.

Indigo Stretch is quite a decent option for Singapore-Delhi, though inconsiderate co-passengers can undo even the best experience.
Last night, even before take off, a young girl in the row ahead was watching something on her iPad at full volume. Her mother sat next to her, unfazed.
I was in the last 150 pages of a gripping book - the kind you want to finish in one peaceful stretch. I had a plan - a spare pair of inexpensive headphones! I thought I’d lean forward after takeoff and say, “Excuse me, would you like to ask your daughter to use this?” Subtle!
After take off, before I could make my move, the mother pulled out her own phone… and started a Hindi serial. Full volume.
Now what? What if I proceed with my plan and she asks, “What about my earphones?” 😟
I resigned to my fate, put on my ear blockers and went back to my book. I’m still a few pages short, thanks to a steady background noise of saas-bahu drama and a youth influencer!

Sat in a public in Taiwan, driver didn't know English and I obviously didn't know his language.
I was with my family of 4, not knowing the fare I just handed him two 100 TWD notes, driver looked puzzled but wasn't able to communicate. A granny sitting right infront, simply paid some coins and then driver happily showed me a place to put 100 note and said ok.
I understood it later, the fare was probably 120 TWD and drivers never have change as people usually use the IC card, but someone was kind enough to just pay for the helpless looking tourists.
Guys! Travel the world, people are beautiful, world is beautiful and Racism is mostly prevalent in SM! Reality is very different.

@mohitpandeyyyy @Rajiv1841 Looking at things, India unfortunately has a lot of very low behavior people. Probably because of unemployment and lack of purpose in life.
English

@sunnylifer @Rajiv1841 They want some purpose in failed life and sadly they choose this toxic fan behaviour.
English

@mohitpandeyyyy @Rajiv1841 For the life of me, I don’t understand the rivalry between fans of cricketers or actors. They don’t even care. Why a Dhoni fan has to talk bad of Kohli to make Dhoni great? No logic.
English

@Rajiv1841 Those fan needs to understand that they can praise Dhoni and Rohit without demeaning Virat Kohli.
Funfact: Kohli never suffered Whitewash (which is more humiliating) in any of test series as captain.

5 minutes ago, @karpathy just dropped karpathy/jobs!
he scraped every job in the US economy (342 occupations from BLS), scored each one's AI exposure 0-10 using an LLM, and visualized it as a treemap.
if your whole job happens on a screen you're cooked.
average score across all jobs is 5.3/10.
software devs: 8-9.
roofers: 0-1.
medical transcriptionists: 10/10 💀

@amrishrau The end client also needs to pass on the cost reduction to end consumers? Let’s say it’s a chocolate 🍫, price falls from 100/- to 80/-?
English

AI is deflationary for everyone.
One of the startups in the services space just replaced 8 people with AI.
If you take cost of per person at 20L, they saved 1.6 crores thru AI, which cost them about 10L. Their end clients saw the AI improvement and renegotiated fees from 2.5Cr (including mark up) to 50L.
Employees got moved out, startup lost significant revenues and made less profits using AI.

@tarunsmehta A great coffee experience is becoming an expensive hobby like photography 😭
English

Total random.
We need coffee machine design and production in India.
Vishakh Ranotra@VishakhRanotra
How is a coffee machine so expensive? What kinda technology are they using inside it? China will sell you a 6-axis industrial robot with servo motors cheaper than that.

@KayeMcCartney @KurtSupeCPA It’s funny & ironic that good people are screwed at the end. Money to be split equally but responsibilities are lopsided. No one ever fights over who cares mom more but want equal share of the money.
English

@KurtSupeCPA You used my family as an example. How dare you. Lol (I’m the sister who showed up ever week for 6 years.)
English

Their mom left $800,000.
Split equally between four kids.
Simple. Clean. Done.
Except:
One brother had borrowed $60,000 from mom over the years. Never repaid.
One sister had Power of Attorney the last 4 years and managed all the finances.
One brother lived across the country and showed up once.
One sister was there every single week for 6 years.
"Equal" split: $200,000 each.
The one who was there every week got the same as the one who showed up once.
They haven't spoken since the check cleared.
The $60,000 in unpaid loans? "That was a gift," he said.
The sister with POA? Two siblings hired a lawyer to review every transaction.
Legal bills: $90,000.
Net to each sibling after legal fees: $177,500.
"Equal" is a number.
"Fair" is a conversation you should have while you are healthy.
Hypothetical composite example. Not personalized legal or financial advice.

@Srikar____ @idlebrainjeevi True, I really don’t mind what their pricing strategy is, could be 1500/- as well but that’s not giving back to cinema. I don’t think even Allu family stated it that way but the middlemen spoil it incessantly.
English

@sunnylifer @idlebrainjeevi The ticket pricing is key here, with that level of pricing breakeven is hard to achieve for long time. The pune one which is smallest charges 500 as base ticket.

Visited Allu Cinemas today.
One of the finest experiences is watching a Dolby Cinema formatted film on a Dolby Cinema screen - and this happens to be the biggest in India.
For me, the highlight was the Ramayana 3D introduction and a portion of the Dune movie. Absolutely stunning.
This is the kind of format we usually travel to other cities or even other countries to experience - much like IMAX.
From now on, I plan to watch all technically rich films released in Dolby Cinema format only at Allu Cinemas.
What makes it even more special is that it’s truly a passion project. It’s just a 4-screen theatre, with no shopping complex and no additional commercial avenues around it.
Kudos to Allu Aravind garu for bringing such a large-format cinema experience to Hyderabad purely out of passion.
This is how one gives back to cinema! 🙌👏

@newstart_2024 Wondering Thyroid levels in long term IF. T3 goes down I believe. Not sure what’s the fix for that.
English

Mark Wahlberg’s hardcore intermittent fasting routine (from a few years back) still hits hard:
- 18-hour daily fasts (no food)
- 6-hour eating window for 3 meals (4 days/week)
-4 meals on 2 days
- Full-day fasts the remaining days
When he does eat? Clean Plate Club — finishes every bite like it’s a sacred ritual.
“This is breakfast. Gotta get it done. Inspire to do better, baby. You gotta get after it.”
33 seconds of raw Wahlberg discipline that still motivates people today.
Who else is running 18:6 or longer fasts right now?
How long can you personally go without food before you crack?
English

@RujutaDiwekar So sad, right? Women with no education can earn money, be independent, buy a 2 wheeler, escape from husband’s ill treatment, eat good food, enjoy life, have fun, share financial burden, help parents, buy jewelry, live dignified. But you want them to sit at home, bravo! 🙌 👏

@Ajaya_buddy Dude, you made a high conviction point and then keep agreeing to every counter view simply.

@sundarpichai @googlemaps I think Sunder’s leadership in making google dominate AI after being caught napping is ine if the biggest case studies ever in business only after Steve Job’s Apple turnaround.

We’re bringing new capabilities powered by Gemini models to @googlemaps.
With Ask Maps, get answers to complex questions about any place you want. For example it can help with complex requests like "Find me the best 3-hour family hikes in the Grand Tetons and a spot for a packed lunch”. Will try this next time I'm there:)
Rolling out now in the US and India.
