@elonmusk Dear Elon, In these critical days, the people of Iran need internet access. Please help them stay connected as they struggle to reclaim their country from the rule of the mullahs. Stand with the Iranian people. Iran will not forget its friends.

The family of a 26-year-old Iranian man arrested within the last few days during the regime’s crackdown on protests have been told he will be executed, according to the Norway-based Hengaw Organization for Human Rights which focuses on rights violations in Iran. Despite the Iranian authorities blocking communications Hengaw says his family was able to reach them and share his story, hoping international pressure can help save Erfan Soltani. CBS News has not been able to verify their account.

🚨 HOLY CRAP. Reports indicate over 12,000 Iranian protesters are feared killed by the brutal Khamenei regime. Mass murder. State terror. Total silence from the so called human rights crowd. President Donald J. Trump confirmed this morning: “HELP IS ON THE WAY.” That message matters. It tells the regime they are being watched. It tells the Iranian people they are not alone. And it tells the world America is back on the side of freedom. USA STANDS WITH THE IRANIAN PEOPLE.

Soon you will celebrate freedom together in Iran My dear compatriots, Your courage, patriotism and self sacrifice in these days have earned the respect of people around the world and millions across different countries have declared their support for you. I know that those who thrive on darkness, out of fear of hearing your voice, have cut off your channels of communication with the outside world. Your message is louder than anything that can be silenced by such actions. I firmly believe that the epic scenes of your protests will sooner or later break through the wall of censorship and the true dimensions of what you have done in these days will inspire even greater astonishment and admiration worldwide. The images that have reached the outside world in recent hours amid the blackout of communication tools of the killing of innocent protesters in Iran have broken my heart as a mother. Each child of this nation whose blood is shed revives for me the unbearable grief of losing my own children. I wish patience and strength for the mothers and fathers of Iran and consider myself united with them in mourning. I also extend my heartfelt condolences to all compatriots who have lost their loved ones in this national uprising and I wish health and recovery for the wounded and injured during these days. At this critical juncture in Iran’s history, once again to the armed forces of Iran remember that the survival of no government and the preservation of no interest can justify the shedding of your compatriots blood. Hear the cry of anger and the roar of the protesters. Before it is too late, join your brothers and sisters and do not tie your fate to that of the killers. The free Iran of tomorrow belongs to your children as well, by spilling the blood of your compatriots, do not destroy your own future and that of your families. Know that the story of these days in our Iran will be recorded forever in the pages of history and disgrace will remain for those whose bullets tore through the chests of their compatriot brothers and sisters. And in closing: my children, hold on to hope. Be strong and believe that soon you will celebrate freedom together in Iran and that light will prevail over darkness. Farah Pahlavi

At least 12,000 people were killed in the largest killing in Iran’s contemporary history, carried out largely over two consecutive nights on January 8 and 9, Iran International’s editorial board concluded, based on a review of sources and medical data. Iran is under a coordinated blackout aimed not only at security control but at concealing the truth, reflected in internet cuts, crippled communications, media shutdowns, and the intimidation of journalists and witnesses. Publication was delayed until the evidence converged. The assessment is based on a multi-stage review of information from a source close to the Supreme National Security Council; two sources in the presidential office; accounts from several sources within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Mashhad, Kermanshah and Isfahan; testimonies from eyewitnesses and families of those killed; field reports; data linked to medical centers; and information provided by doctors and nurses in multiple cities. iranintl.com/en/202601136877

Mr. President, this is an urgent and immediate call for your attention, support, and action. Last night you saw the millions of brave Iranians in the streets facing down live bullets. Today, they are facing not just bullets but a total communications blackout. No Internet. No landlines. Ali Khamenei, fearing the end of his criminal regime at the hands of the people and with the help of your powerful promise to support the protesters, has threatened the people on the streets with a brutal crack down. And he wants to use this blackout to murder these young heroes. I have called the people to the streets to fight for their freedom and to overwhelm the security forces with sheer numbers. Last night they did that. Your threat to this criminal regime has also kept the regime’s thugs at bay. But time is of the essence. The people will be on the streets again in an hour. I am asking you to help. You have proven and I know you are a man of peace and a man of your word. Please be prepared to intervene to help the people of Iran.

#RecallDiplomats
