Excited to announce @Revternal has been selected for the @awscloud Activate Founders! This will give us more fuel to scale, build & innovate. Huge thanks to @AWSstartups! Are your AI agents powerful enough without @Revternal APIs? Tell me what you think!

Every dev I know is simultaneously: "AI is my cheat code" "Someone using AI will take my job" "AI will replace me anyway" Just ship things. Touch grass. Repeat.

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

Most APIs fail not because of bad code, but bad design. Here's what separates a good API from a great one: 1. Version from day one /api/v1/... not optional. Your clients will thank you when you need to ship breaking changes. 2. Use nouns, not verbs. GET /orders ✅ GET /getOrders ❌ Resources are things, not actions. 3. Return consistent error shapes. Every error should have a code, a message, and optionally a details field. Don't make clients guess what broke. 4. Idempotency is non-negotiable. PUT and DELETE should always produce the same result, no matter how many times they're called. Design for retries. 5. Don't expose your database schema. Your API is a contract, not a mirror of your tables. Leaking internals makes every refactor a breaking change. Good API design is invisible to developers, just feel unblocked. #SystemDesign #API #SoftwareEngineering #Microservices

The Forward Deployed Engineer is the most misunderstood role in tech right now. Not quite eng. Not quite sales. Not quite PM. You ship code at the customer's site, in their stack, under their constraints and you own the outcome. It's the fastest way to learn what enterprise software actually needs vs what we think it needs. Anthropic, Palantir, Anduril built empires on this model. Why aren't more startups doing it?

They taught you JavaScript. They forgot to teach you the internet. HTTP is the protocol every web request runs on — and most devs learn it backwards: axios → fetch → XHR → "wait, what is actually happening here?" Here's what nobody tells you: Every API call you make is just a client asking a server a question. The server always replies with: → a status code (did it work?) → a body (here's your data) → headers (here's the metadata) That's it. That's the whole web. 200 = yes ✅, 404 = wrong address ,🕳 500 = I broke, not you, 💥 401 = who are you? You've been using HTTP since day one. You just never got formally introduced. Save this.

HTTP explained like you're a dev, not a textbook reader: • GET = "give me data" • POST = "take this data" • 200 = "we're good" • 404 = "you asked for something that isn't there" • 500 = "I broke, not you" Save this. You'll use it more than you think.

Bun runs your JS 3x faster than Node. Yet 90% of devs are still doing npm install and waiting like it's 2015. Bun vs Node, which one are you actually shipping to prod? Drop it devs!

Most GTM tools wait for the form fill. But developer intent starts much earlier. It starts when someone asks a technical question in public. That’s what our Listener API is built to capture. Try it out revternal.com

In 2020 everyone was learning Docker. In 2022 everyone was learning Kubernetes. In 2024 everyone was learning LLMs. In 2026 the devs actually getting hired are the ones who shipped AI agents to prod, not just learned them. What have you shipped? Drop it devs!
