While I was in The Gambia last year, the people that were supposed to be allies, purposely did everything they could to exclude me. From media to donors. I don’t do this work for donors. Yall should know better. Yall don’t make me talk cause this would get ugly. I was held down because of my friends and people who know how much this work means to me and survivors.

Hasimu Sidebeh, Chairperson- Activista CRR North posits that citizens should hold duty bearers accountable for their actions. "Duties collected from local vendors and other businesses should translate to development. This is the provision in the Local Government Act. Duty collectors should desist from issuing fake tickets and be real to their work".

Musa Samura, "Dialogues between the older and younger generations should be consistent. We must be reminded of our culture; we should resort back to using our local infrastructures of peace to resolve conflicts. A perfect opportunity for shared learning. During the intergenerational dialogue, Ejatou Jallow, a serving Councilor at Basse Area Council, met Haja Isatou Sumareh, a veteran community leader and former Lady Councilor at Tumana Ward.
Haja Isatou used the occasion to share experience and also advised Ejatou on holding public position.
