🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran shipped over 80 million barrels of oil (worth $6 billion) to foreign buyers in the 26 days between the MOU signing and the blockade being reimposed.
When negotiations began breaking down last week, Tehran initiated a scramble, shipping over 10 million barrels in a single night (July 8-9).
Things were shut down again before Iran could empty its storage, leaving around 30 million barrels stranded inside the perimeter.
But the $6 billion windfall matters strategically:
The first blockade had Iran on track for potential economic collapse by August, the new timeline is uncertain but this has likely extended Tehran's endurance by several months.
Iran made the most of its MOU window.
