Troy Deeney is absolutely right and Arsenal fans attacking him for it is the real embarrassment here. Deeney pinpointed exactly what everyone watching could see — Arsenal needed a world-class David Raya save just to keep a clean sheet against Leverkusen, and they gave up chance after chance through the lines and out wide. That is NOT the profile of a Champions League winner. Sporting will be DIRECT — they won't stop and rebuild like Leverkusen did, they'll bomb crosses in and force Arsenal's centre-backs into the exact situations they struggle with. Tottenham won the Champions League in 2024 and 2025 precisely because we DON'T need our goalkeeper to bail us out every week. Arsenal keep grinding results but when the pressure is real and the opposition is top-tier over two legs, they always find a way to fall short. I can’t believe a kid born in 2010 now sees Arsenal as the club carrying other English teams. It’s shameful to let a mid-table club with zero European trophies be viewed that way. We need to back Sporting CP to eliminate Arsenal in the UCL, they shouldn’t go any further.
