Data now emerging of the numbers of people with injuries in #Gaza. We need ensure that #rehabilitation is available as soon as possible.

At least 24,090 of those injured in #Gaza are estimated to have life-changing injuries that require rehabilitation services now and for years to come. But with the health system decimated, rehabilitation and specialized care are not available. WHO reiterates its call for a ceasefire, which is critical for rebuilding the health system to cope with escalating needs. #CeasefireNOW

Much of the rehabilitation workforce is displaced, and reports indicate 39 physiotherapists have been killed as of 10 May. In-patient rehabilitation & prosthetic services are no longer available and the number of people with injuries requiring assistive products far exceeds the equipment available in #Gaza bit.ly/3AYkEvN
