"Ceasefire" was always a poor term. The question was how we could assist in getting the hostages back and removing Hamas. That's what would end the violence and suffering in Gaza.

It's good to criticize AOC's Iron Dome support and "working tirelessly for a ceasefire" line. Those are mistakes. But they should be taken in the context of her full Israel-Palestine record, which is pretty good. If every politician had AOC's politics, Palestinians would be safer

The criticism that vanguardism has received since the 70's has well and truly proven to be wholely unfounded in my opinion. Because how substantial can such a criticism really be, when the strategies promoted by the detractors of vanguardism have been entirely unsuccesful?

A very good example of the limits to spontaneity. No plan beyond intimidation, makeshift riot gear and militant demeanor that nevertheless instantly loses all intimidatory effects because of lack of leadership, planning, and general direction.
