The Pentagon shuts out the oldest military newspaper in America—one funded by American taxpayers—from covering a press conference about what the U.S. military, also funded by taxpayers, is doing.
Matthew Adams@MatthewAdams60

Stars and Stripes was not approved by the Pentagon to attend this press conference. I will be be watching it on a screen instead. Seems a bit odd since the Pentagon published a memo with changes to the newspaper, including content overhaul. Traumatic brain injuries make up at least 70% of all US wounded in the war with Iran. TBIs were widely seen as the signature wounds of post-9/11 wars and can be severely debilitating. abcnews.com/Politics/traum…

Colombia and Ecuador met to discuss the munition the @nytimes reported on yesterday. They confirm that the explosive is from Ecuador and that it fell on March 3, as a witness told us. They claim that the bomb fell on Ecuadorian soil and then came to rest on the Colombian farm.
Pedro Arnulfo Sanchez S. Orgullosamente Colombiano@PedroSanchezCol

Iran is setting up a 'safe' corridor for the transit of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. At least 9 ships have already used the corridor, routed close to Iran’s Larak Island for visual checks by IRGC Navy and port authorities

If you want to see slow, watch a 53 dragging a sled.
Lazarus@Lazarus_Navy

@shashj The Avengers were slow, ancient, and had almost zero self defense capability. I was Chief Engineer and XO of one 1999-2000. Their time was over at least a decade ago. Its more concerning that the MH-53 minesweeping helicopter was retired over the last three years.

The unexploded munition found on the Colombia-Ecuador border is a Mark-82, 500-pound bomb. Witnesses told us it was dropped on a Colombian coca farms the same day Ecuadorean planes were conducting military operations. More details here: nytimes.com/2026/03/17/wor…
