β-glucan, found in foods like oats and certain mushrooms, appears to enhance the body’s ability to eliminate PFAS (also known as “forever chemicals”) by binding them in the gut and promoting their excretion.
In a controlled study, mice given high PFAS exposure had significantly lower serum levels of multiple PFAS compounds (including PFHpA, PFOA, and PFOS) when fed β-glucan over 6 weeks.
In humans, a drug that mimics the effects of β-glucan by binding to forever chemicals in the gut reduced serum PFAS levels by 60% in adults living in a hotspot for forever chemical exposure.
The mechanism appears to be enhanced PFAS excretion and elimination from the body.
β-glucan is found in oats and mushrooms. If these aren't already a part of your diet, it might be wise to start including them, especially because they have several other health benefits.

The only way to actually reshore manufacturing is to crash the speculation in housing & medical care to the basic cost of production & then also subsidize this with state programs so as to make US wage labor competitive in the global market. Without doing that, the part that makes Americans employable (ie: they can afford to reproduce their means of existence with the wages), there will only be an increase in homelessness & foreclosures & medical bankruptcy.
