Iskra Velitchkova introduces I See Generative @pointline_ introduces I See Generative, a framework she built around distance as a condition of contemporary perception. In this video, she walks through the collection, how it began, how it ends, and what she hopes to express through it. Distance today extends beyond physical space. Systems of information, data, and computation now shape how we relate to culture, to other people, and to ourselves. Books, films, music, and relationships are measured and filtered through metrics and databases. Everything appears closer than ever, while closeness itself becomes harder to define. ISG responds to this by reintroducing distance rather than resolving it. Within the framework, generative art functions as a form of dialogue rather than a method for producing images. Iskra builds systems that surprise her, and the results carry a shared authorship, guided by rules she sets but not fully controlled by her. When a human figure appears within a generative system, ISG asks what distance separates that figure from the real, and whether that distance can bring us closer to something essential.
