@coachtonymee @tom_mitch3 @TheS_Resource 100% Tony, As a coach, you spend so many hours with them. I had colleagues that didn't care imo, but I did! Easily the hardest thing to do was being part of that. I challenged why we loosely signed players to then shatter their dreams so easy.

@tom_mitch3 @TheS_Resource Many parents refuse to engage with the clubs when their children are released. I understand this has led to clubs now appointing “Player Care Officers” but it’s disingenuous to suggest that Academy staff “don’t care” when players are released.

So should academies place more attention on this 91% and offer a more holistic, enriching experience for all? I think so! I bet the % success doesn’t change but all might have a better experience on average

So game abandoned today owing to a medical emergency for one of the officials. Prayers that he makes a speedy recovery. Aside from the match itself just want to add how proud we are of our captain Mitch and Physio Allan who undoubtedly saved his life 🙏

It’s been a pleasure to manage the football club from taking over when we were 19th with 12 points to 2 back to back play off challenges il always be grateful to the club for giving me my first oppertunity in management at such a young age wishing everyone all the best ⚽️

The ATFC Committee can confirm we've received and accepted Tommy Cooney's resignation as first team manager. Tommy has helped to revitalise the club since joining two years ago, and we wish him all the best as he takes on a new challenge in Step 4. I recall being in the 1st Team dressing room at Luton. It was tough, 30 point deduction. But Mick Harford spoke about walking toward the tunnel. He said, they know if you cheat. If you lose trying, they will clap you off. If you dont, you'll know!

Brooklyn Beckham getting piled on. But i felt sorry for the lad. I did see some bizarre carry-on as his football coach & certainly seen the anxiety. He might have got this wrong & his parents were polite to me, but I witnessed a strange dynamic, which is impossible to judge

Yesterday, flashback 2 my lad doing his 1st ACL playing gaelic, weeks after being released by QPR. They blocked him playing for Torquay. Im so glad QPR seems to have a better progressive academy. My experience & listening to other players is why I campaign for an education fund
