@AnchorAnandN Mr. Narasimhan, Did he attend all sessions in Parliament? All days that he failed to attend parliament and toured to other countries or places should be treated as his holidays or absence from duty. Because he chose those trips as fun holidays

Frankly - Can anyone compare with or comment on a person who hasn’t taken a single holiday in 12years as a PM? - One who has committed himself to Desh Seva & Putting Bharat first always? - Those spending Crores on Leisure trips, can they pass judgement on Official Visits? - PM is trying to Hunt for Opportunity in Crisis, while some are looking for Problem in Opportunity - Isn’t Bharat for more Resilient today than it was 12 years ago? - Is it such a tough ask for Bharateeya to Optimise a bit to help the Nation tide over a Global Crisis? - For those Qng Pm Modi, what is their bit that they have truly done for Bharat? But just FYI… PM Modi’s 5 Nation Tour *How much worth of deals signed?* Norway announced plans to invest nearly *$100 billion* in India UAE inked a series of landmark pacts, pledging investments totalling *USD 5 billion* in India In the Netherlands, Dutch chip-equipment giant ASML signed a landmark deal with Tata Electronics to supply advanced lithography tools for a *$11 billion* semiconductor fabrication plant being built in Dholera, Gujarat. As for Sweden, blateral trade currently stands at $7.75 billion & during the visit, both nations agreed to double this trade and investment volume within the next five years In Italy, both nations aim at *a target of reaching $23.2 billion in bilateral trade by 2029.* Jai Hind Vande Mataram 🇮🇳

Best is to stay in another city or go abroad. Don't come to Chennai.
SK@7_5_Cobra

Chennai holds virtually zero appeal for even for non-resident Tamils who grew up in major metros like Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, or overseas. Having spent my formative years on the West Coast across Mumbai, Daman, Goa, and Gujarat which sensitised me to an urban, highly cosmopolitan lifestyle mindset. But transitioning to Chennai for university feels like hitting a cultural brick wall; the city comes across as incredibly homogeneous, insular, and flat-out boring. The city completely lacks a distinct, independent youth culture. Instead, the social fabric is entirely dominated by an older demographic, conservative boomers and culture kangers who fiercely enforce traditional norms. Tamils outside TN don't do such antics themselves. Because the lifestyle is dictated by elder-approved routines, there is a massive deficit of casual public activities, vibrant nightlife, or engaging weekend avenues to build a high-quality, modern social life. The economic landscape also mirrors this rigid, old-school mentality. Chennai is highly rewarding if you are in the manufacturing or blue-collar sectors, but it is an incredibly difficult terrain for white-collar career growth. The tech ecosystem is overwhelmingly dominated by massive, process-driven IT service companies with strict hierarchies. Outside of a highly concentrated SaaS pocket, there is a severe deficit of aggressively funded, product-based tech companies or global R&D hubs, creating a definitive growth ceiling for ambitious professionals. Over the time, the emigration of highly skilled educated graduates and professionals in TN to overseas or to other cities in India is only going to intensity. It already has started BTW. And people in TN will still continue to remain the same and vote for people in TVK, DMK etc. Even the BJP in TN is the same as the other parties.

Modi deserves to be humiliated everywhere he goes. He has not given a single press conference in 12 years since he became the Prime Minister. He fails to fulfill the basic transparency and accountability requirements of being a leader. I would like to encourage foreign journalists from other European countries to ask him questions wherever they see him, just like @HelleLyngSvends did. Embarrass him so much that he is forced to show some accountability in front of people. You will be doing great service for India’s progress.

RESIGNATION LETTER I hereby tender my resignation from the primary membership and all responsibilities associated with the Indian National Congress. Throughout my journey in the Congress party, I stood with a clear conviction that we were fighting not merely a political battle, but an ideological war a principle repeatedly articulated by Rahul Gandhi ji himself. Time and again, he emphasized that the struggle of the Congress party is against divisive ideologies and for the protection of constitutional values, secularism, social justice, and democratic principles. In Tamil Nadu, the party consistently projected its alliance with Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam as an ideological partnership. Rahul Gandhi ji, during almost every public address in Tamil Nadu, clearly stated that the Congress-DMK relationship was not merely electoral, but ideological in nature. That understanding formed the basis of my political commitment and faith in the alliance. However, the sudden political shift towards an alliance with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam raises serious ideological questions in my mind. If ideology was truly the foundation of our political direction, what was the compelling ideological reason behind replacing a long-standing ally like DMK with TVK? I find myself unable to understand whether this decision was based on TVK’s ideological strength, political sacrifice, administrative experience, intellectual clarity, or consistent opposition to the BJP-RSS ideology. At several crucial moments in recent times, including instances involving communal tensions and attacks on minorities when strong political voices were expected, silence prevailed from those whom the party now considers allies. On the other hand, DMK consistently positioned itself firmly on ideological grounds and publicly confronted such issues without hesitation. Therefore, it becomes difficult for me to accept that the present political realignment is rooted in ideology. It appears instead to be driven by electoral calculations and popularity based opportunism. Politics, as I learned from Rahul Gandhi ji’s speeches and principles, should not be reduced to opportunism. It must remain anchored in ideology, values, and moral clarity. With deep disappointment and a heavy heart, I have therefore decided to step away from the party. I remain grateful to every leader, colleague, and cadre member who supported and encouraged me during my tenure in the Congress movement. Thank you Alim Albuhari However, the sudden political shift towards an alliance with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam raises serious ideological questions in my mind. For you, @sardesairajdeep Joseph Vijay is a Christian. Whatever may be his name. Vijay's father, S.A. Chandrasekhar, film director, is a Christian from the Vellalar community. His mother, Shoba Chandrasekhar, playback singer, is a Hindu. Joseph Vijay was baptized as a Christian at the age 12. Baptism is a Christian ceremony symbolizing initiation into the faith, and commitment to Jesus Christ. Joseph Vijay married Sangeetha Sornalingam, a Hindu in Britain in 1998. The couple have two children, Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha, both baptised & Christians. Since your ideal is Rahul Gandhi who calls himself a Janeudhari Hindu in India, but essentially is a Crypto Christian, you consider any person with the name Vijay, Stalin etc, as a Hindu.

I don’t need lessons on democracy, public discourse or decency from anyone, especially from @DrAMSinghvi . Decency and him can never be in the same room. The real issue here pertains to a woman - who has nothing to do with politics - but has her character assassinated on national television using FORGED documents from other countries. I am confident the courts will take note of this, sooner or later and the guilty will be punished for his brazen act of maligning a woman's character using false documents to influence electoral outcomes. Also Dr Singhvi, it’s easy to speak on a platform where I am not present to respond. That is not called a debate- it is simply avoiding a fair exchange, one which you were espousing. And let me be clear, this is just the beginning, not the end. Satyamev Jayate.

If I want to retire in India and want this, where should I end up? 1. Coastal city because pollution will be low 2. No danger of language warriors - I don’t intend to get into anyone’s way 3. Decent infra 4. At least 2 good hospital within 20-30kms 5. Airport within 2-3hr drive; railways station a major plus I can think of these: 1. Vizag 2. North Goa (Ponda, Mapusa) 3. Bhubaneswar (not coastal but you get the drift) 4. Udupi 5. Mangalore What else?

I disagree. I have two adult sons, 27 and 22. I always wanted kids, so we chose to have them. The kids were brought up with unconditional love, expecting zero reciprocation. We want neither kid to do anything for us. As long as they spread their wings and figure out what they want in life, we are happy. Our children did not ask to be born. We chose to give birth to them. They will not be our crutches in old age or our fixed deposit or our lottery. We will not force them to get married or have children because we want grandchildren. It will be their choice to make as they deem fit. We will have each other in old age to have and to hold till death do us part. If we find staying alone in a large house difficult, we will downsize and shift to a retirement community with proximity to medical facilities. We will visit the children or vice versa whenever we get an opportunity. At the end of the day, their life us theirs, and our life is ours. No guilt tripping whatsoever.
Sunita Sayammagaru 🇮🇳🇬🇧@drsunita02

DINK - if one spouse gets bored of the other spouse and divorce, what happens next? If one of them dies, what happens? Will they remarry, if this happened at a young age ? Perhaps yes. But what if this divorce or death happens when they are in their 40s or 50s or 60s? Is it easy to find another partner at that age? What happens if one spouse of the DINK couple falls chronically ill when the couple is relatively young, say in their 30s or 40s? Will the other spouse take care of the ill spouse lifelong? Will the well person feel that it's a lifelong burden to take care of ill person? Afterall they had signed up for DINK, to enjoy, not to be straddled with single income and an ill spouse.... Or will the person divorce his/her ill spouse? I have seen more divorces of DINK couples when one of the spouses is unwell. What happens to ill person now after divorce? Who will take care of them? The parents? The siblings? They would have lost their job due to their illness.... Many many questions.... It's not easy as one thinks.. People wanting DINK should think of all possible scenarios and be prepared for them. Ofcourse, end of the day, it's their choice. And I get this... My take: have kids.... Kids provide some emotional respite - whether couple is together, divorced, single, unwell or well spouse - kids with their love and affection, their mischief, their antics, their support - they provide the emotional and mental strength for the couple/person to keep going in life. Life changes for the better when kids are around. #DINK
