The Govt will cut excise duty on petrol and diesel by 10 cents with a further 2.4 cent reduction on marked gas oil or green diesel.The measures will take affect from midnight on Tuesday subject to approval by the Oireachtas. I don’t think Home Heating Oil is mentioned so far!

An agreement has been reached to allow trucks carrying chemicals for the treatment of drinking water to leave Foynes fuel depot in Limerick. This truck is on its way to Antrim.

A despicable crime against @SimonHarrisTD and his family…on line threats and online harassment are a crime which should be reported to @gardainfo …a custodial sentence is important to show that this type of crime cannot be tolerated

Remembering today @gardainfo D/Garda Adrian Donohoe who was murdered on duty on this day in 2013 at the Lordship Credit Union, Dundalk, Co Louth. May we always remember those brave Gardaí gone before us & who died in the service of this State and May he Rest In Eternal Peace
