@JDVance America’s elites are too dumb and short sighted to invest in solar so ye just decided to go plunder oil from a weaker kid in the neighbourhood.

@paulmurphy_TD Either/or. Doesn't matter! X is just a massive disinformation engine and tool to push people deeper into a delusional far-right fantasy land. By this time next year, they'll probably believe Santa Claus needs to be bombed to bits & deposed in Lapland. He's dressed in RED FFS!

@DavQuinn You’re only bleating about Iran now because it suits you. You’ve written dozens of articles on every kind of crankery, yet showed zero concern for Iran until it became a convenient rhetorical pawn during these recent protests. muckrack.com/david-quinn/ar…

Where are all the protests in favour of the Iran protests? Not seeing any. What do our politicians have to say?

@john_mcguirk Statements like this are simply not to be taken seriously. There are 1,321 results for “Iran” on the Amnesty.org website and they published a 409 page report on the situation there in April 2025.

Amnesty International, arguably the world's single worst organisation, has predictably had not one single solitary word to say about the protests in Iran or the brutal ongoing repression of same.
Amnesty International@amnesty

Your voice matters. You have the right to say what you think, share information and demand a better world. You also have the right to agree or disagree with those in power, and to express these opinions in peaceful protests. Today, and every day, we must #ProtectTheProtest.

@ForestHills1903 @dieworkwear It’s been like this for a long while. The slide into whack job Christian nationalism and people being fully convinced places like London or Dublin are warzones with Christmas banned, has just meant the full tilt pivot away from reality to actual madness is simply too much.

@antrophe @dieworkwear X is wrecked, I’m in the UK and been drowned in pro US MAGA/Anti Europe posts last 2 days. Obvious Musks pushed this but X isn’t fun, it’s like drowning me in propaganda pushed by Trump/Musk. Time to leave I think.

@workmansflopera @gavreilly @catherinegalway The Winter/Xmas debate just shows how dangerously delusional this site has become. It’s a sewer. They were publishing photos of staff involved in the marketing campaign today. Disgusting and abusive.

@antrophe @gavreilly @catherinegalway Those reactionary gobshites had their tweets and their articles drafted before she even said a word. If I was her I would've been awful tempted to call it a Winter Message for the craic 😅

@workmansflopera @gavreilly @catherinegalway Fair enough - I didn't see that. The way the loolas were going nuts over the Xmas message and dancing around like they'd a severed head on a pyke - it looked like a victory dance for some BS Musk interference and "owning the libs." Thanks for clarifying.

@BrandyCMendez Worse than “popping cocaine” is their recent promotion of yellow bentines and triple sod. These new, made up drugs are absolutely destroying people’s brains.

Ireland’s cultural brain rot is now official state policy, and Kneecap are just Culture Decay with a soundtrack. This is who the President of Ireland was proudly greeting in Phoenix Park, a band whose entire public identity is built on glorifying drug use, selling pills, popping cocaine, sneering at police, celebrating antisocial chaos and wrapping it all in “rebellion” cosplay. Put Palestine aside for a second. Put politics aside. Strip the slogans away. What’s left is not resistance. It’s rot. Half their lyrics romanticise being off their heads, pushing drugs, fighting authority for the sake of it, turning nihilism into a lifestyle brand. That’s not edgy. That’s not revolutionary. That’s the fastest way to rot a generation’s sense of consequence, responsibility and reality. And yet this is who gets the smile, the handshake, the photo-op from the head of state. And it doesn’t stop there. This same band is now plastered onto the shirt of Bohemian Football Club, a club whose stadium redevelopment is backed by substantial Irish government funding. Public money. Public legitimacy. Public endorsement. The message is clear: this is who we celebrate now. The Palestinian cause gave a generation permission to romanticise conflict again, to cosplay war, to chant about intifadas and “troubles” like history is a Netflix series instead of something Ireland paid for in blood. We are watching young people who never lived through real violence talk about it like it’s a vibe. Like it’s brave. Like it’s fun. I warned @MichealMartinTD Martin that the open Jew-hatred wasn’t the real canary in the coal mine. It’s just the first crack. The deeper problem is a society losing its immune system, confusing destruction with courage, addiction with authenticity, antisocial behaviour with moral clarity. These are not heroes. This is not culture. This is decay dressed up as rebellion and the fact that our institutions are clapping along should scare everyone, no matter where they sit politically.bohe

@antrophe Since when is courageous a compliment? Lots of things take courage. It takes courage to starve yourself to death. It takes courage to have yourself committed indefinitely to jail. It also takes rank stupidity.

@john_mcguirk And? She was an award-winning reporter who gave a keynote at an event organised by the Journalism programme at the UofL. What am I - clairvoyant? No one could see the direction she'd take after hanging out with the likes of Gript authors like John Waters. theguardian.com/media/greensla…

@antrophe By the way, only one of us has ever adoringly interviewed Gemma O'Doherty and promoted her as a "tenacious old school reporter". That was you, my friend. Not me.

@john_mcguirk You really think I’m paying for your “premium” ramblings? You called his actions “courageous.” If most people didn’t see him as worthy of pisstake Paddy’s Day floats, you’d be out waving pom-poms. But you're playing it safe for the “relatively normal middle.”
