The Death Certificate is not issued by the Municipal corporation. Are they not responsible for this too????

With deep anguish and urgency bring to the attention of Hon’ble Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs (@nsitharaman) ji about the shocking incident that took place on April 27th at the Malliposi branch of the Odisha Grameen Bank in Kendujhar District. A tribal citizen, Mr. Jitu Munda, was forced to exhume the skeletal remains of his sister and carry them to the bank as proof of her death in order to withdraw his rightful dues. This followed numerous unsuccessful visits to the bank where he received no assistance or clarity from officials. What is even more shocking is the bank’s attempt to justify this inhuman conduct by citing adherence to RBI guidelines. This reflects a disturbing intent by officials to hide behind procedures and abandon the very people they are meant to serve. In a democracy, rules are meant to empower citizens, not humiliate them. This horrifying incident has outraged public sentiment across #Odisha and has also drawn international media attention, including coverage by the New York Post and the BBC. Though isolated, this incident highlights the urgent need for a more humane banking administration, especially in remote tribal areas. Urge Nirmala Sitharaman ji to ensure clear accountability is fixed immediately for this shocking lapse. Also urge you to send a strong signal to all rural banks to guarantee citizen-centric service delivery with empathy and compassion. I am confident that with your compassionate intervention, such inhuman treatment of citizens will not be repeated anywhere else in the country.

एक चमकता बैंक, एक अंधेरा सच क्या IDBI बैंक में इंसाफ की बलि चढ़ गई है❓ एक महिला अधिकारी सपनों के साथ @IDBIbank में शामिल होती है लेकिन उसे मिला एक ऐसा कार्यस्थल जिसे दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट (2025:DHC:11525) ने “Extremely Hostile” करार दिया। जब उसने आवाज़ उठाई, तो उसे सुरक्षा नहीं बल्कि प्रतिशोध (Retaliation) मिला। उसे नौकरी से बाहर कर दिया गया। 🔹 4–5 साल से वह अकेले सिस्टम से लड़ रही है 🔹 कोर्ट ने अन्याय माना, ₹5 लाख मुआवज़ा दिया 🔹 और तुरंत बहाली (Reinstatement) का आदेश दिया लेकिन सवाल अब भी बाकी हैं 👇🏻 ❓ क्या पीड़िता को वास्तव में नौकरी पर वापस लिया गया? ❓ क्या उसे न्याय मिला या वह आज भी दर-दर भटक रही है? ❓ क्या मुख्य आरोपी (CGM) आज भी पद पर है? ❓ क्या वही व्यक्ति “Chief Ethical Officer” की भूमिका निभा रहा है? अगर यह सच है, तो यह सिर्फ विडंबना नहीं संस्थागत विफलता (Institutional Failure) है। एक तरफ ‘नारी शक्ति’ की बात, दूसरी तरफ चुप्पी। क्या यह चुप्पी प्रभावशाली पदों के आगे झुकने का संकेत है? 📢 अब जवाब जरूरी है— क्योंकि मामला अब फाइलों में नहीं, जनता की अदालत में है। #IDBIBank #JusticeForWomen #WorkplaceSafety #NariShakti #CorporateAccountability @IDBIbank @nsitharaman @FinMinIndia @NCWIndia @PMOIndia
