You can criticize the script, but she does come around to respect the Chief. In writing land, even if poorly done, we call this character development.

ODST’s hate Spartans by the way. There’s a lot of beef there.
In the very first novel, Master Chief’s first kills were three ODST’s in a base gym because they started a fight with him. They do not like Spartans.
I’m not saying this character’s dialogue is great or well timed but many are clearly unfamiliar with the history between ODST’s and Spartans.
