When I was a Muslim, I genuinely believed that anyone who followed any religion other than Islam would go to hell. I used to mock other faiths and their gods without hesitation, considering myself and my fellow Muslims superior to everyone else. I was also strongly opposed to women’s rights. I believed they had no business stepping out of the house and should remain confined indoors. Then, I decided to study other religions with an open mind. As I read their holy scriptures, I found nothing that aligned with the negative portrayals or warnings I had been taught in Islam. This honest exploration eventually led me to leave the faith. Looking back, I realize how deeply Islam had radicalized me during that period of my life.

India’s MMR has fallen sharply, from 384 deaths per 100,000 live births in 2000 to 88 in 2023. The next frontier is anaemia which weakens millions of women long before they enter the labour room. NFHS-5 shows 57% of women aged 15–49 are anaemic, up from 53% earlier.

@kejimao I can see your concealed fright, of what would happen to China, when India does succeed economically. We are just 5 years away from that point. You will learn…you will cope with it.

India’s greatest weakness lies in having an overly advanced superstructure that is mismatched with its backward economic base and social realities. Put in simpler terms, India possesses first-world aspirations, values, and institutions, but operates with third-world economic resources, social conditions, and governance capabilities. That's why democracy as it stands now may well be a curse on India.

Britain abolished slavery in 1833. Three years later, they invented its replacement. They used Indians to run it. Between 1.9 and 3.5 million people. Lied to, Shipped across oceans. Worked under a system survivors called "slavery with the chains taken off." The story India almost forgot featuring powerful insights from @ShawnBinda

Exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months rose from 54.9% in 2015-16 to 63.7% in 2019-21, but has now fallen to 55.8% in 2023-24, according to the NFHS-6 figures. In the first six months, it is among the most effective and low-cost public health interventions.

🚨 BREAKING: Secretary Rubio says the United Nations might prove itself to be TOTALLY USELESS if they refuse to condemn Iran blowing up vessels in the Strait of Hormuz Leave the UN! "What is the purpose of the UN?! The UN was supposed to be a place where you could peacefully resolve global conflict." "Right now you have a country who is unlawfully, criminally, and illegally taking possession of an international waterway and blowing up commercial vessels and putting mines in the water." "If you're telling me that the international community and hundreds of countries cannot rally behind that, then I don't know what the utility of the UN system is!" "If it can't even solve something as straightforward as THAT."

One of features of the Modi Government is the total lack of accountability. Whatever be your level of incompetence or bungling as a Minister, you just go on. None of them are answerable to the people.

For Washington, an ideal India would be one that: leases military bases to the US, purchases-35s, offers near unlimited military interoperability, rapidly retires Russian equipment, operates on GPS, refuses to build its own LLMs, spends next to nothing on indigenous R&D, buys American oil and LNG, cedes large parts of the North East to a sovereign Kuki-Zo state, restores Article 370, encourages immigration of Bangladeshis into the country, and allows unfettered access to foreign missionary groups. Wonder how many points on this list have been mentioned by the podcast guest.
Rishap Vats@VatsRishap

When Prof Raja Mohan was asked about India’s concerns/expectations of the US, he listed all US disappointments/grouses with India, invoking BRICS, multipolarity rhetoric etc. He thinks nobody notices that he’s found criticising the latter while staying entirely mum on the former.

The seal creators, the ancient Indians, were much smarter than these fake professors. They put a Rhino, an Elephant, and a Tiger together on the seal along with a Yoga pose to ensure it is not appropriated by such charlatans saying it is from Elam (Iran) or the West or China. These charlatans work in universities under the funding from the GLISCO-DS, the Globalists, Islamists, and Communists. You know the countries. All three groups are on a mission to appropriate everything Indian and making them Western, Islamic, or Chinese to bankrupt India of its civilization and make Indians gullible to them. Now see them invent reasons in their universities, publish papers, and tell Indians how Iran had Tigers, Elephants, and Rhinos. And how all three came to India from Europe, Arabia, and China. Sadly, many young Indians will believe them too and fight with you for them saying there's no deep state or agenda here. This is because of the state's apathy in allowing its young generation to be programmed by social media.

Saree is native to Pakistan. The saree traces its origins to the Indus Valley Civilization (3300–1300 BCE). No wonder Pakistani women absolutely slay in sarees.

I have nothing against eating meat but cruelty is repulsive. The last meat I had was a cow I bought, hand raised by a friend, well taken care of, and when the time came was given treats and pets when the end came instantly with a bullet. The cow existed because we eat meat and had a good life. It’s not about eating meat, it’s about cruelty.

THE TEARS OF A BULL BEFORE SLAUGHTER 💔 I recently saw a video that has deeply disturbed me and I cannot erase it from my mind. A bull stood tied with ropes, moments away from slaughter, crying like a helpless child. Not metaphorically. Not exaggerated. Real tears streamed continuously from his eyes until the ground beneath him became wet. His entire body shook uncontrollably with fear. He pulled desperately against the ropes, looked around in panic, and stared into the faces of the people surrounding him as though begging for someone - anyone - to save him. And in his terrified eyes, there was a question no human being should ever ignore: “What have I done to deserve this?” He did not understand religion. He did not understand rituals. He did not understand sacrifice. He had the sentience of a three years old human child. He only understood fear. He only understood pain. He only understood that death was coming. Imagine the horror of smelling blood in the air… hearing the cries of other animals… watching bodies being skinned before your own eyes… and realising that you are next. People often speak of animals as though they are emotionless objects. But this bull cried, trembled, resisted, and pleaded for life exactly the way a terrified child would. Science itself confirms that such animals experience fear, attachment, trauma, and emotional suffering at profound levels. What shattered me the most was this: The bull trusted humans. Perhaps the very same hands that once fed him, stroked his head, and raised him from infancy were now dragging him towards death. He could not comprehend betrayal. He could not understand why the people he depended upon had suddenly become the source of his terror. And yet this horrifying act is often dressed in the language of “faith,” “reward,” and “piety.” But when a living being stands before us shaking with fear, crying uncontrollably for mercy, looking into our eyes wanting to live… how can ending that life ever become an act pleasing to God? Can compassion and cruelty truly coexist in the same act? Can the Creator of mercy really find joy in the tears of a helpless creature? I do not know what theology says. But my heart says those tears were not meaningless.

Holy shit! They changed the rules for Elon again... They waved the profitability rule & are adding SpaceX to indices only 5 days after IPO... normally it's 90 This forces 401k retirement & passive funds to buy SpaceX at elevated IPO pricing, holding the bags the entire way down
Financelot@FinanceLancelot

They changed the entire rules of the stock market specifically for Elon Musk's SpaceX IPO... This is what they aren't telling you... and how it could cause the greatest collapse we've ever seen.
