It's raining in Delhi right now. And it's not the light rains of the North that I am now accustomed to. The monsoon this year has been long and plentiful and it reminds me of the coastal rains that I grew up with.

I used the @urbancompany services and suffered damange to my house as a result. I made a complaint and explained why I was reporting the situation a few days late, and I had absolutely no satisfactory reply. Will not be using again for sure.

I have been locked out of my VFS global account, and although I should be allowed back in after 30 minutes, I cannot do so. I wish to make an appointment as soon as possible and now cannot do so. Please help. @vfsglobalcare @VFSGlobal

Most unsettling thing is it's possibly the first time I could also hear an earthquake. Usually it's the objects in the house shaking which makes a sound, but this time it was very clearly the earth.

I had sent an urgent courier to Sydney through Aramex, my courier guy assured me that the parcel would reach quickly and safely. The package has reached Sydney on the 5th and there has been no update since then. The courier guy has received a message saying

Some thoughts on popular and academic history in India: The reason that Indian history has been a source of inspiration for historians globally has been because of the really extraordinary scholarship of historians in India, who have worked in very difficult conditions.
