Tom Brady reveals the brutally honest talk he had with a Michigan sports psychologist that turned him from a benchwarmer into the GOAT. Brady's transformation started with one change: the way he thought. "I sit on the bench my first year, and I really had—I would call it—a lot of self-defeating attitudes and behaviors. I always had an excuse. 'Coach doesn't want me in there.'" "I had a sports psychologist. His name was Greg Harden. I would go into his office every Tuesday, and he would say, 'Tom, I like you. You work hard, but you have a shitty attitude.'" "'How about you start worrying about what you can control and stop talking about the other quarterbacks, stop talking about the coaches not putting you in.'" "If they give you three reps, you do the best with the three you get. Quit bitching about you only getting three or you going in there with the backup receivers. No one cares.'" "'You treat practice like it's a game. If you throw a touchdown in the two-minute in practice, you celebrate like it's the game.'" Brady never approached it that way before. Then "sure enough" everything changed. "Mmy energy started getting way better. I was bringing juice; I had the right attitude." "Then all of a sudden, I'm bringing the juice, man. Every day, boom." "That [mindshift] really helped me get better." The road to 7 Super Bowl rings didn't start on the practice field; it started in that very office…

Arguably the best fastball in this year's draft belongs to UCLA's Cal Randall. Sits 98-100, nearly 7 ft extension, above avg carry, low launch (-4.0 VAA)... Hard to draw up a better heater. Hard slider is underdeveloped but the key to him becoming a shutdown MLB reliever.

Michael Jordan said, “The stats that matter to me are games we win and rings we collect. If I played for stats, I’d still be chasing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record. That doesn’t drive me. It’s all about winning championships and winning.”

Matt Barnes on his relationship with Kobe Bryant: “I remember when the Drake and Rick Ross song came out Stay Schemin' and you wasn’t with me shooting in the gym. I remember when that sh*t came out and how made he was about that was crazy and I’m going kind to leave that where that was. But then I also remember another time where we just having a good time. We were in Phoenix on the bus about to get on the plane and we were joking talking sh*t because I came here off the rip just talking sh*t you know I mean I talk sh*t, I’m talking sh*t to Kobe and he’s talking it back. So it kind of changes the whole mood. But one day I was literally like bro how come you don’t show the rest of the world this side of you? And he like thought for second. He’s like, “MB, I can’t show these motherfu*kers that,” you know, I mean, because he always showed the rest of the world the Mamba. Like, I got to know Kobe, you know what I mean? And the person and the businessman and the Father, how much he loved my kids and just the man behind the mask and that’s what I treasure most about our friendship” (Via @OutTheMudTL)

Matt Barnes on when he fake threw the ball in Kobe Bryant face in the finals: “The Orlando sh*t I told him in our last interview like bro I was ready to fu*king like I was ready to go, like fu*k basketball. Was ready to throw that ball in your face. Because he gets like he’s already so good but then he’ll elbow you and grab you and I remember I caught a dunk tip off the rim because he was guarding me and he tried to block Dwight shot and it fell of perfect and I put that b***h down and that motherfu*kers elbowing me from like my waist to my chest to like my chin and the ref was right here and didn’t say nothing. I was ready to go. He had already elbowed me in my sternum and knocked the wind out of me that game. It was just who he was, you know what I mean? And it was after the game and be you good, it was that line of respect.” (Via @OutTheMudTL)

Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul says a $35 cheaper flight is the reason he met LeBron James and built a billion-dollar agency "Before he left his house, he saw a Fabolous video and Fabolous had the jersey on. So when he got to the airport and I'm coming to the gate, I had the same jersey on. And he's like, Yo, where'd you get that jersey from?" "Now think about all the jerseys I actually had and me deciding to wear that jersey. Us going to the same airport. I'm from Cleveland. I shouldn't even be flying out of Akron-Canton, Delta flies out of Cleveland Hopkins every hour" "I'm driving 45 minutes past the airport in my own city to fly out of another airport for a $35 cheaper flight. Really makes no sense. But that's fate"

John Hope Bryant says if you hang around nine broke people you'll be the tenth "Billionaires don't need more money. Somebody with $100 million doesn't need more money. A Fortune 500 CEO doesn't need more money. They want relationships. It's not about what you get, but what you have to give" "Here's the key about relationships. A giver and a giver is exotic. A giver and a taker is neurotic. A taker and a taker is psychotic. Most people have taker relationships" "Surround yourself with givers, get the toxicity out of your life, and your whole frequency rises. The opposite is also true. If you hang around nine broke people, you'll be the tenth"

The umpires found the Branch parents to give them the official lineup cards with their boys, Kolby (UGA) and Kyle (Oklahoma), on them. They are the first brothers to be starters/opponents in a MCWS game, and this was the final time the two faced off in college. 🥹

Iman Shumpert says LeBron James still hoops like a curious 17 year old cuz he got paid before the league could "break" the creativity out of him "They say you act exactly how you act when they handed you money. You could tell LeBron got paid at 17" "It's the reason that he that cold cuz he think like a child" "Before you get to college and they break you, where it's like that creative mindset the coach explain it to you and then you stop even questioning the coach" "Bron went at 17 while he was still curious and got to navigate through that now. He ain't get to keep one coach. That's how he got there"
