@UKPoliticsLive Why not mention brexit as the main reason for the decline of the UK economy? Mainland Europe has recovered why not the UK?

We had the pleasure of a chat with Marysa Demoor, Prof Em Ghent Univ, to chat about the cross-cultural history of Britain and Belgium in 19C. Find out why she describes 🇬🇧🇧🇪 relations as “Mudscapes and Artistic Entanglements" 👇 fb.watch/yjHRoZtvMH/ via @FacebookWatch

@hobbb I would say brexit is mainly responsible and that adds a few names to your list including, of course, Johnson and co, and Farage. But also the EU for failing to make it clear to all Brits that farmers & economically vulnerable regions, were financially supported by EU funding.

We've been granted judicial review – we're taking the government to court over the delay and abandonment of key Net Zero policies . At this crisis point for nature and climate we need robust leadership that listens to best informed advice , not short termism and politicking .

@Jo_Coburn I could find no proof of Denmark already sending migrants to Rwanda. Politicans can't just claim this without there being any proof. Please check the facts first and correct the person who is making these comments.

#politicslive Dear Jo, do get some objective commentators on the EU economy on your panel What your (conservative) panel members are saying abut brexit is just not acceptable.

Don’t see the issue. No mention of Nazi’s or Fascism. And factually, the rhetoric of “invasion” and demonising asylum seekers is very much the language of the 1930s in Germany (and Italy). They are upset because @GaryLineker reaches a wide demographic. Trying to silence him!

@timeshighered really? "Compromising intellectual quality"??? That's an argument used in the nineteenth century.

I've tweaked the GB News clip from earlier today - when Martin Daubney had mistakenly assumed the Brexit poll would fall in favour of leave rather than 55% supporting remain.

"Many people are surprised that so far, the United States, European Union or United Kingdom have not placed Lisin on any of its sanctions list. It has been claimed that Lisin’s close connections with the Belgian Royal Family may be helping him avoid being targeted."
Dr Maria Shagina@maria_shagina

Behind the scenes of sanctions-making: Belgium declined to vote for the latest package which included sanctions on Russian steel, but didn't veto it. The first time in eight rounds of sanctions that one of the 27 member states had failed to vote in favour. ft.com/content/529df0…
