My friend just got his 4th spark last night by completing the Midnight: World Tour quest which apparently doesn't count against cap. I however have already completed that quest and might be stuck at 3/3. I'm hoping it's just a display bug and that I can get a 4th from M0s or something...

Thanks for pointing that out Kevin! For Ellesmere: It still might be worth changing the default growth direction to down as that is what Blizz frames are doing just for feature parity and less confusion for people that have a vertical bars setup in their Blizz UI and then install EUI.

@apinksquash @EllesmereGaming in the UI options under action bars, select which bar you want to edit, next to Number of Rows option click the gear icon and change the grow direction.

MASSIVE UPDATE to EllesmereUI before full release this weekend - core functionality has been improved significantly and all major bugs relating to profiles, positioning, cdm and more have been fixed. Patch 5.2.2 Notes: - restored all broken CDM issues - fixed all profile related bugs - fixed all positional element shift issues - fixed and improved all height/width match to be dynamic across spec swapping and dynamic bars like cdm from character to character - improved anchoring logic - added a NEW feature to unlock mode for action bars and CDM bars called "Grow" which lets you choose your grow directions - ALL elements will now grow centered by default - elements that are anchored will grow in the direction they are anchored (so anchored right = grow right) - unanchored elements can customize their growth direction any way

and before anyone mentions that I could just drag my abilities around and rebind to reach the same effect... here's what the bars look like if I disable EUI and just stock blizz frames: Obv, I don't want to to de-sync my stuff from being usable in default UI. Would make much more sense for EUI to match behavior of default.

@EllesmereGaming I hate to bring this up... but it's a game breaking change for me personally... I just updated your UI and it flipped my bars. :( I'm not seeing any option to flip them back to how they used to be either.

Commenting so that Twitter hopefully stops categorizing this as probable spam! Since @EsfandTV mentioned everything resetting multiple times a day, that definitely could be the same issue mentioned here about DHCP lease times of 8 hours and the dropping of all connections when it refreshes.

@EsfandTV Depending on your router and its logging capabilities, might see if its DHCP related. There was a time where my ISP was not refreshing the lease correctly and instead every 8 hours when the lease ended it would cause my ip to refresh dropping all connnections.

Multiple times a day for the last few weeks my internet keeps getting reset mid stream and it's driving me fricking insane because it doesn't automatically turn the player back on. It will do the load wheel, maybe Error 2000, and then it stops the stream so if you're lurking in the background, you actually don't even know that the stream F'd for 5 seconds. People just think the stream ended and they leave. This has been a problem with Twitch for like 10 years and even Disconnect Protection (NotLikeThis) that they added doesn't fix it. It happens 2-3 times within every 24 hours, my ISP shows no loss of service, but it's happening to multiple PCs on my network. Is there anything else that I can try before I completely rip out my entire network in my house and install a bunch of new equipment? Ironically enough, this whole situation is why I left my house the other day to go to the computer store to look at network equipment before my car got fking smoked in the parking lot by random person driving off the road lmao

A few things about EllesmereUI: 1. it is fully modular so you can turn off any of the addons via blizzard addon loads. If you only want nameplates, just only enable the nameplate addon. I also plan on releasing these as standalone addons. 2. On first install, I snapshot your entire edit mode UI and use that as the base for your UI layout (including positioning, sizing, rows, orientation, etc), so there is 0 change from how your UI is laid out before/after install if you weren't using something like elvUI before. This makes it so users don't have to recreate their UI and can just start customizing without having to reposition and resize dozens of elements. 3. Yes the performance metrics were (and continue to be) worked on extremely hard and it is one of the core focuses of my development. Check the performance metrics yourself either through blizzard addon list and checking cpu usage. Each of my addons averages between 0.01% - 0.08% cpu usage. the only one that is slightly higher is Action Bars which is still going through optimizations. 4. Reminder that this is beta so please leave feedback and bug reports in the discord forums! Full release will be next weekend! **** For all of my developer friends or users that enjoy inspecting files: 1. Because it is fully modular, all assets are duplicated in each addon. This does NOT mean that they are loaded multiple times, only the first addon in the line actually loads these assets. 2. Yes I use AI to help streamline coding, no that does not mean it was "vibe coded". I have over 10 years of developer experience and an extensive UI/UX background before I was a streamer. I'm also not stubborn/dumb and unwilling to use the tools available to me. The difference between things that are "vibe coded" vs not is whether or not the user actually understands how the code works and actually checks AIs work and doesn't just say hey build this whole thing for me but rather assigns AI to do precise things to streamline the coding process.

Also, just updated to the newest version and I can confirm the bug still happens as shown in the VOD. Upon logging into game: - Cast bar is hidden (working). - Upon going through the portal in the village to Har'athir, the cast bar starts showing again. Reloading fixes it until going through the portal again OR toggling the option on, then off again also makes it work until going through the Portal. Have not tested with any other portals, although I suspect any cross-zone portal would have the same effect.

Loving the UI. Did want to mention a couple bugs I encountered: 1. I tried turning off the cast bar on the player unit frame (because I'm using the detached castbar) but it kept turning back on periodically even though UI said it was off. I had to toggle on, then back off again to fix, and then it would work for a bit before turning back on again. 2. I tried changing the color of the resource bar on my ele shaman (maelstrom bar) but deselecting use class color and instead picking a color with the selector. It did not work and stayed blue.

I've been suffering from Lyme disease. I'm stepping back from xAI into an informal advisory role so I can go founder mode on my health, starting today. --- The symptoms started when I got sick (cold, flu, or COVID -- I'm not sure which) in early 2025. I distinctly felt less energetic, less creative, and less agentic even weeks after "recovery." After that, my condition ebbed and flowed, but the lows kept getting lower. Accidentally eating the wrong thing would make me extremely tired, taking days to recover. Working out would leave my whole body feeble for days. There was a week where I slept 12 hours a day and still couldn't recover. Lyme is famously hard to diagnose, but luckily I have an incredible doctor. He suspected these symptoms, far from being just in my head, indicated immune issues. Detective work over a few rounds of testing revealed I have Lyme disease. I was very surprised because Lyme is said to come from tick bites (where the bump looks like a target), but I don't ever remember having one. Likely I contracted Lyme a long time ago, but until I pushed myself hard building xAI and weakened my immune system, the symptoms weren't noticeable. --- Overall, I actually feel lucky to have discovered this early. Lyme is a serious disease that only gets harder to treat with age -- patients discovering it in their 50s or 60s have a much tougher time. Lyme can also be debilitating, leaving its victims bedridden, but luckily I'm still functional and can take care of myself day to day. So while some folks have said "you shouldn't have pushed yourself so hard," I'm glad I did. I found this issue early, and now I can fix it so I can push myself even harder when I rebound. --- Chronic Lyme is not well understood in the literature or by the public. For folks suffering from it, it can be a lonely fight. But I hope my story can make it just a little less lonely.

Hey Lucky, Is the part about a fresh install significantly improving game performance based on feels, or have people done testing to put data behind that? And if substantiated, does anyone know why? I'm trying to decide if I should go through the hassle of a fresh install. I know locality was a thing with older HDDs, but with SSDs locality of the data shouldn't really matter so I'm just trying to understand that claim. Thanks!
