@GrumpyShtroumpf Oh, f***!!! I'm wishing her all the best. No, I don't think it has spread. Breast cancer normally spreads to the bone. But perhaps she realised something about the illnesses in her own family during the conversations with the medical team.

My mum has breast cancer but it's under control, she says, oncologist is happy with her, she says Now she dropped casually in conversation that I need to get screening for bowel cancer because "there's a genetic link" Wtf, has her cancer spread? What isn't she telling me

@GrumpyShtroumpf I fully understand abd share your reluctance. I can't imagine any sort of team-building happening when the work us done fully remote.

I've been hybrid forever, I've done 1 day with all the way to 4 days wfh / week and my sweet spot is 2 days a week in the office, as long as everyone else comes too, so there's a bit of team spirit and knowledge transfer happening. Full remote sounds lonely and demotivating

I'm interviewing for a job that's 100% remote. ...that scares me

@GrumpyShtroumpf I enjoyed sharing Harry Potter with my daughter. Dscussing the books, complaining about what the movies got wrong, but rewatching them over and over again. Knitting her Ravenclaw sweater when she was a kid, and a Slytherin scarf when she already was an adult.

There isn’t a single audiobook or podcast that I’ve managed to listen to all the way through without having a little nap at some point I don’t know how you people do it

So far today I fell down the stairs holding BC (he's fine. I'm not) fought with him on the street because he thought it was too warm to wear a coat (it's not) and fought with PJ because she lost a toy she'd already lost once saying she'd look after it this time (we found it)

@GrumpyShtroumpf Improvement comes with practice. I'm trying to improve my sock-knitting atm. Make them better fitting and less lumpy 😜

I think crochet has gone to my head I'm now thinking of what else I could make (matching dolls for the kids! A rhino! Three piglets and a big bad wolf!) Not quite consistent with current achievements eg three really uneven balls

The doctor was most concerned about dehydration but honestly it's the consistent high fever I'm worried about. How is his little body supposed to withstand that extra stress

Spent the morning in A&E with BC. We got seen pretty fast, he'll be OK. It was in the same hospital where PJ was born and i miscarried tho, I thought I was over it, I held it together just fine when there, but now we're home and he's safely asleep I'm having a meltdown
