I struggle to imagine how Giga Shanghai could be effectively sold off. This would be like selling off one of your testicles. As always I suggest taking media reports with a grain of salt, especially when shareholders haven’t even voted on a SpaceX merger. My guess is that this is more about contingency planning and leverage on the various regulatory bodies around the world that would need to sign off on a merger.
