@maha_tourism shame on the management at Ajanta caves, 100s of tourist standing for hours just to wait for the bus towards the caves. How do you expect the tourism to grow with such services! @OfficeOfGSS

If you are an honest group A officer: you legit income would be around 1.5L/month. Saving's rate would be 30% (45K in total) 30 years of service= 45K*12 * 30 = 1.62Cr You would struggle to buy a decent 3BHK-home in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, B'lore now with that income. Here, I am talking about Group A officers (Toppers, who crack the toughest exams, etc). Something is deeply broken if even Group A officers can't buy a Home with their honest income.

We don't have Oil, so we can't become rich. We don't have an autocratic government, so we can't become rich like China. etc. etc. Fact: every country has something valuable. We have a huge young population: if you keep them ill-educated. And, turn them into reel making freeloaders, of course, we will never become rich.

The SIPs that you do are going to the rich in order for them to own better quality assets. Here is how it goes- The SIPs that you do are now being used to buy stocks like Hyundai at CRAZY valuations. Let's not single out Hyundai. There have a bunch of really average businesses: eg. firecracker scooters and whatnot. Point is while FIIs are selling, DIIs are buying with your SIP money. Natural question comes: will this game end badly? Honestly, no. I don't think so. Not for a foreseeable future. People don't understand the concept of inflation lead growth. If the inflation (real) inflation in the economy is like say 10%, and the market gives 12-13%-- there is no magic that happened (because 2-3% real growth rate comes anyways) People have gotten accustomed to headline numbers: 5Tr$ economy, 3rd largest GDP, stock market = best in the world! Most folks are too dumb to look beyond these headlines. Try to tell them: you become their public enemy #1 So what's the bottomline on all this: well, it comes down to asset quality. While you might see a 12-13% stock market growth. India will witness a very high inflation. People who own high quality assets (eg. very good real estate, good stocks etc) they are going to build generational wealth. Others are going to make inflation (+2-3%) returns.

To adapt to this evolving landscape, the Mutual Fund distribution community must consider embracing newer products like Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).

One fast-approaching market challenge is that the end investor can directly trade the underlying asset on the stock exchange, and top it up with the unlimited power of robo advisory, AI capabilities, and GenZ's swift adoption and comfort with technology.

Since 2016, I have been using an example of a startup that I find simple and unique in my sessions. It's called Happy Hens! Instead of confining the hens, they are allowed to roam freely, resulting in higher-quality eggs, thus Happy Hens.
