@DicksonJax15493@unniemara I think our theories about time elapse are the same? The older you are, the small fraction of your time a day/week/year is taking up. Perspective makes it seem faster as you go through more of them.
I can not necessarily correlate with this. However, I bet you miss the routine and the structure of your old college life. However, I do know a thing or two about time. Also, the facet of time. Something about time itself is weird in the sense that the older you seem to get. The faster time goes by. It's as if its multiplicative. I believe this is because when your you have been alive for less time ergo. It seems like its been slower. However the older you get the longer you have been alive. The more time you have been alive. Hence the time appearing to move faster.
it’s crazy how fast those four years in college went by after I graduated. I miss everything—waking up at 5:30 AM for my first class, eating with my friends, and even the everyday complaints we used to joke about. Enjoy your college days while you can. You’ll miss them once you’re out.
@unniemara That's the experience I've had with every "season of life" that's rough. High school, college, when my kids were tiny. The days are long and the years are short and once they're gone you wish you'd savored them more. Savor as much of your life as you can because you can't go back
@ejwpc1985@WaltC81706@lady_valor_07 When my kids were little and trying to show off that they had my phone number memorized, my grandpa told them he had them beat bc he still had his first phone number from the 50s memorized. They were less than impressed when he rattled off U504😂
@TaraBull Any time I'm cooking something that requires me to "really get my hands in there", when I put on lotion, and on the first of every month when I put it in my cleaning thingy
@its_The_Dr I've tipped 40% exactly once. Got sat in my son's best friend's section. When you've been calling me mom for ~10 years and sat at my breakfast table in pajamas with drool across your face and your hair all sideways, you get 40%. Everyone else gets 20%
@CattledogMeg@WillieHandler I'm a teacher and ended up learning to write with my non-dominant hand over the years as I showed my lefty students how to hold pencils as stuff. Santa has a special marker. And mom and dad do kid specific paper instead of gift tags so they don't see the handwriting side by side
@WillieHandler Speaking as the mom… I had special Santa paper that I kept hidden.
I also wrote the gift tags with my non-dominant left hand.
The kids asked me why the elves had such bad handwriting.
I told them that there were no schools in the North Pole.
Then they wanted to become elves 🤷♀️
I have a question for those who celebrate Christmas. When you were young did you ever get suspicious at all that Santa Claus used the same wrapping that your Mom did?
@theamelia__ Things I've personally experienced? Idk if it's worse but an ear infection is at least on par. Things I've not experienced? Probably a lot.
@theamelia__ Smoking weed in graveyards &under railroad bridges &skinny dipping at the river access. Old factory parties in the city& bonfires in country fields. Not an adult or familiar face in sight. Meanwhile my 25 year old is afraid to talk to the cashier at the grocery store😂
@theamelia__ I'll do ya one better. I had a car& was told to be home before 11 on a school night and 1 on Fri/Sat. We drove all over the 4 surrounding counties& our adults had no fucking clue what we were up to. We could've been performing human sacrifices and they'd have had no idea.
So me & my man broke up right? Cool. I was hurt for a minute but I bounced back. A few weeks later he pops out with a new girl ok cute or whatever. Soon as I post on my story he come in my messages like, “I miss you, it don’t feel the same.” 😭 Boy please! You just posted her last week talking about “my peace.” I guess that peace didn’t last long huh? 😂 So I played it cool, let him talk, let him dig his own little hole… then boom I sent the whole convo straight to his new girl 🤷🏽♀️💅🏽
@ZannSuz We were driving to STL from Miami and my husband couldn't drive anymore. We were 30 min from home so he asked me to take over. I drove 35 on the interstate. Thank God we were the only car bc I probably would've caused a damn accident
When I tell people I can’t see at night, so I rarely drive after dark, they look at me like I’m nuts.
This is what people with an astigmatism see at night…
@NefflynBe One of those great grandmas was the lunch lady at my elementary school & I went home with her every day and spent a few hours with her until my mom got off work. I will cherish the memories of that time forever. My MeeMaw was the best and I'm so glad I got to know her AND her mom
@NefflynBe Because of a series of divorced with parents and grandparents, I had 2 g grandpas & 6 g grandmas when I was born. The final one passed away in 2018 when I was 30. My kids were able to know their great great grandmas, which is damn near unheard of.
