Unpopular Opinion but an average Brown Girl looks More hotter than the overhyped Ana de armas and Sydney Sweeney etc... Real melanin, real curves, hypnotic eyes, and natural beauty that doesn't need Hollywood lighting and CGI.

@IonaItalia It's worthwhile to conduct a statistical analysis of median real wage rates over the past 20 years and plot them alongside immigration numbers. High immigration primarily benefits large employers.

@IonaItalia We need to see those with a concern for stagnating wages speak up about the effect of flooding the labour market with mid or low skilled workers. Why is our training and skills sector so incapable of delivery the skilled workers we need?

@apprentice8980 @NoelWhittaker I dunno in my almost 40 years all I have seemed to have seen is house prices just going up and that scheme has only been around the last 5-6 years.

Macquarie forecasts a 5% drop in Aussie house prices — and rates are still rising. Spare a thought for the poor beggars lured into buying on a 5% deposit with no mortgage insurance. They could soon owe more than their home is worth.

@MassivvC_ @NoelWhittaker Sure, asset prices go up and down. But the government has just facilitated a whole lot of people to enter the market by borrowing 95% of the asset's price.

@apprentice8980 @NoelWhittaker I mean that's generally how the value on a lot of different assets works, what makes property so special that it can only go up ?

@MassivvC_ @NoelWhittaker But you surely understand the point being made that we now are likely to have a significant number of homeowner that owe the bank more than their house is worth.

@NoelWhittaker I didn't buy my house to be a speculative investor, I bought it to put a roof over mine and my families head. If the price goes down I really don't care, it means more people will be able to do the same

@ConBiasTrap @Sauronlordking Oh, so there’s a better way to measure a country’s overall economic activity? Please tell me. (Every high school student understands that GDP has flaws, like most economic statistics, but you work with what you’ve got and acknowledge their limitations.)

@ConBiasTrap @Sauronlordking Australia’s government expenditure as a percentage of GDP is 39%. This makes it lower than two-thirds of OECD countries.

@apprentice8980 @Sauronlordking 100%. They're the same people. The people earning salary already pay tax. A lot of it. Australian public expenditure is A$1.16 trillion per annum. This place is a fkn joke.

I’ve spent much of the past decade critiquing the sort of politics that Blair (and Clinton and Maggie and Schroeder and etc.) represented. But there are bits of great wisdom in that Blair essay (mixed in with obviously “Blairite” obsessions like Iran). I see too many smug, easy we-know-neoliberalism-failed dismissals that fail to reckon with what he’s saying about energy, grand strategy, Europe, and more generally HOW to do politics in a fractured age.

Australia remains one of the wealthiest countries in the world, successfully navigating crises including the GFC and the pandemic. Across the board, quality of life indicators are among the highest in the world. We enjoy peace and relatively low rates of crime. There are problems in the country, to be sure, but refusing to acknowledge how high the standard of living in Australia is serves nobody, not even our enemies.

@ConBiasTrap @Sauronlordking So you are happy with people who earn money via capital gains (housing speculators, share traders and the like) should pay less tax than those who earn an income via wages or salary? Cool.

@apprentice8980 @Sauronlordking Disagree with the concept. Is commie sophistry, and cover for invite tax. And is a key platform of Labor's policy, which is how you know its wrong.

How about "thou shall not murder" ??? The Bible is crystal clear about the value of innocent human life. It’s also clear about wolves in sheep’s clothing who distort Scripture to fit a political agenda.
TheBlaze@theblaze

James Talarico: “I trust women to make decisions about their own bodies. I don’t think that’s a place for government. That’s a belief I hold not despite my faith, but because of my faith. Jesus never talks about abortion. The Bible is silent on abortion.”
