There is absolutely nothing wrong if CM Vijay has a small statuette of Jesus on his desk. He is not decorating the walls of his office nor making a grand show of his faith. It is small,unobtrusive and hardly visible. If keeping the statuette there helps him do a better job, so be it.

அரசு அலுவலகங்களில் விதிகளை முதல்வர் விஜய் உள்பட அனைவரும் பின்பற்ற வேண்டும்,: தமிழ்நாடு முதல்வர் விஜய் அவர்கள் கிருஸ்தவராக இருக்கலாம். அவரை சர்ச்சுக்கு செல்லலாம். அது அவரது தனிப்பட்ட அடிப்படை உரிமை. ஆனால் அரசு அலுவலகத்தில் மதம் சார்ந்த குறியீடுகளோ, சுவாமி புகைப்படங்கள் இருப்பதோ தவிர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும். அரசு விதிகளின்படி குறிப்பிட்ட எந்த ஒருமத் கடவுள்களின் படத்தை அரசு ஊழியர் அலுவலகத்தில் வைத்திருக்கக் கூடாது. விதிகளைப் பின்பற்ற வேண்டிய முதல்வரே இதுபோன்று நடப்பது தான் வேதனையின் உச்சம். சமூகநீதி, சமத்துவம் மற்றும் மதச்சார்பின்மையை கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டியது முதல்வர் விஜயன் பணி. இனி இது போன்ற அடையாளங்களை முதல்வர் தவிர்ப்பார் என்று நம்புவோம். இது பத்திரிக்கையாளராக மட்டுமின்றி தனிமனிதனாக ஒவ்வொருவரும் முதல்வரிடம் கேள்வி கேட்க உரிமை உள்ளது என்ற அடிப்படையில் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்..

டெண்டர்களை செட்டிங் செய்வதை கடந்த பல வருடங்களாக நார்மலைஸ் செய்து வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள். இதெல்லாம் ஒரு தப்பா என்று சொல்லும் அளவிற்கு டெண்டர் செட்டிங் மிகவும் சாதாரண வழக்கமான விஷயமாக மாறி இருக்கிறது. அதனால் தான் தற்போது தமிழக அரசு கொண்டு வந்த மாற்றங்களை ஏற்றுக் கொள்வது ஊழல்வாதிகளுக்கு அத்தனை எளிதாக இல்லை. சட்டத்தில் எங்கேயாவது ஒரு ஓட்டை கிடைக்காதா அதில் புகுந்து பணத்தை கொள்ளை அடிக்க என்று கண்ணில் விளக்கெண்ணை ஊற்றி தேடிக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள்.
அறப்போர் தொடர்ந்து கண்காணிக்கும். தவறு நடந்தால் அரசுக்கு சுட்டிக்காட்டும். அரசாங்கம் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கவில்லை என்றால் மக்கள திரட்டி அழுத்தம் கொடுக்கும். டெண்டர்கள் மூலம் ஆரோக்கியமான போட்டி ஏற்பட்டு அதனால் அரசுக்கு இழப்பு ஏற்படுவது தடுக்கப்படும் வரை அறப்போர் தொடரும்.
