The Israelis wanted to trigger a forever war for the U.S. in the Middle East at a moment when a large section of the security establishment was pushing to pivot to East Asia and they achieved this objective. Ideally this will also become a long-running Persian Gulf war involving Iran, the U.S. and the Arab states. Everyone is aware of it and only deft diplomacy by Iran and the GCC could avert now avert this.

As the war in Iran escalates, it’s critical to remember the role Israel played in drawing us into this mess: Israel convinced Trump that assassinating the Ayatollah would result in a swift U.S. victory, similar to the removal of Maduro from Venezuela. Now, despite the obvious and concerning security and sovereignty implications, our own Congress is trying to merge our military w/ Israel: responsiblestatecraft.org/us-israel-inte…

If this happened in some other country, we would laugh at their backwardness. Some in Washington would argue they must be bombed...

Trump has now restarted the most unpopular war in American history after walking away from every single original war aim last week. He conceded uranium enrichment, missiles development, their relationship with Hezbolla and the nuclear dust. We’re now solely fighting now over the strait and Lebanon, two non issues before the war. This thing is an indefensible disaster and all of the people who cheerlead it have been revealed for the clowns and traitors they are.

This week the Senate will vote to merge our military’s most sensitive & secretive capabilities with Israel. This merger is buried within the massive NDAA and they’re hoping you won’t notice. Merging our military with a foreign country is a treasonous betrayal of our sovereignty. Call your senators & tell them to vote no on the NDAA until the merger w/ Israel (section 219) is taken out. Tell them that we will never support merging our military with a foreign nation. The senate switchboard number is: (202) 224-3121.

Fox's Rachel Campos-Duffy calls out Netanyahu on his plan to "merge" the US and Israel's militaries. "Will that drawing down of foreign aid [over the next ten years] be compensated by the proposal to have a merging of some sort between our Pentagon and your military?" "Yeah," Netanyahu responds. "I'm calling it, 'From aid to partnership…'" "I think the meshing of our two great countries of talent would strengthen America's competitive position." "[That] certainly brings up some issues of sovereignty," Campos-Duffy responds.

Iran excelled in wrestling So the US bombed Iran's main wrestling arena at Azadi Stadium to rubble The US regime seeks nothing less than the destruction of Iranian society
The Grayzone@TheGrayzoneNews

The US-Israeli coalition bombed Iran's Azadi Stadium on March 5, destroying the indoor volleyball and wrestling complex which hosts international competitions @MaxBlumenthal visits the ruined arena and places its destruction in the wider context of US-Israeli attacks on the country's knowledge base and the rigging of FIFA's World Cup against Iran's national team

Every four years Republicans pretend they love America then get cucked by Israel and pretend they actually like it. It’s so embarrassing. At least be a Democrat and gladly purchase your own chair to sit in the corner as Israel fucks your country.

Tucker Carlson: "The truth is, after this war, it’s impossible to say Trump’s Republican Party, MAGA, is acting on behalf of the US. It’s acting on behalf of Israel; that’s just a fact." "It’s such a Betrayal."

Mohammed Reza Shah’s only lasting legacy was convincing a small group of middle class Iranians, who now predominantly reside in LA, that they are actually White and the US and Israel looks favorably upon them and wants the best for them.

It is the rather the other way round. It is the belief that there will not be any meaningful sanctions relief with billions in dividend that is driving Iran’s determination to keep the chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz.

The advantage that Iran has is that Trump doesn’t way to pay a heavy price for Iran’s destruction. But that may not always be the case. He may decide the financial and US soldier costs could be worth it in the end.

There’s no third way. There’s no compromise. There’s no JCPOA, no MoU, nothing that can solve this intractable difference.

It’s depressing to see the back and forth between Iran and the US. These two countries cannot co-exist. Iran sees its survival depending on the US leaving the region. The US sees Iran’s destruction benefiting Israel. Both sides will fight until they get their objective.

In 2012, an American soldier told CNN: “Israel should fight its own war against Iran.” Watch what happens next… this is insane.

Sen. Graham had racist views towards the people of Iran. Once said it would be “terrible” if a DNA test revealed that he has Iranian heritage. Also big on sanctions which helped impoverish tens of millions of Iranians, already suffering from regime’s corruption/mismanagement.
Joyce Karam@Joyce_Karam

On Middle East, Lindsey Graham was • Anti-regime in Iran • Anti-Assad in Syria • Very pro-Israel • Good ties w Turkey (NATO) • Pro Kurdish • Supported Iraq war • Pushed hard to bring Saudi Arabia into Abraham Accords • Close ties w UAE • pro Morocco • Good ties w Qatar

A rocket hasn't been fired from Gaza in 18 months. And Hamas has handed administrative control over to a technocratic interim committee. Yet the apartheid state continues killing children daily. Almost as if it's a holocaust and not a war

Reading Lords of Finance and the lead up to WWI and it’s incredible how every time those countries had the option to deescalate they chose to escalate and it’s depressing that the dynamics are the same today, the weapons are just deadlier.
