What’s the standard way to document/log agent runs? A JSON dag? That shows all prompt, tool calls, sub agent runs, tool responses, etc. Is there a standard yet?

it's live! leading the pre-train on this was the most ambitious thing i've ever had the chance to do. we've got a full tech report and a brilliant loss graph to go with it

Starcloud (@Starcloud_Inc1) recently made history by launching a satellite with an NVIDIA H100 into orbit — the first time a GPU that powerful has ever operated in space. It's the first step toward building AI data centers in orbit, powered by continuous sunlight and cooled by radiating heat into deep space. Their approach could one day rival the world's biggest data centers while using less energy, zero fresh water, and far lower emissions. YC's @aaron_epstein visited Starcloud's HQ, where co-founders @philipjohnston, @EzraFeilden, and @Adi_Oltean explained how they built a working prototype in just 15 months — and why big tech is racing to space for AI compute.

@rsdgpt @thdxr We have a rust version of this internally that’s super fast and can run an embedding model fully local on cpu. Might source it 👀

hey @thdxr can you take a look? implemented the mgrep but free and OS and local. Simplified lots and wanted it to "just work" but still be useful. Seems to work well with CC. Any thoughts appreciated! Embedding the rate limiting step but I didn't wanna destroy people's computers. uses thermal throttling, smart chunking with tree-sitter, deduplication and a hybrid search. github.com/Ryandonofrio3/…

Gave an IMO gold medalist my go to brain teaser First time anyone solved it instantly before I wrote 30% of the sequence Second fastest was an IOI gold medalist who took 90s My very smart friends take 30 minutes to hours On average people can't solve it

Why AI is a house of cards: 1. You pay $200 a year for an AI app (like Cursor). 2. Cursor pays OpenAI $500 for API tokens ($300 of which is VC funding). 3. OpenAI pays AWS $1000 for compute ($500 of which is VC funding). 4. $AWS pays $10k for $nvda GPUs. See the problem?

Why is cross-entropy a good loss for language pretraining? I do think it is, but I am curious what is the commonly accepted intuition behind it.

@arattml @benhylak Wow. That's amazing. Mere mortals would never -- not in a million years -- have discovered that you can stretch the y-axis like that. That's some non-Euclidean innovation right there.
