Google has spent billions optimizing the Chromium renderer across all platforms. It paints text and handles rapid updates better than most “native” solutions. Getting stuff like virtualization working natively was actually hell. No matter what I did, I couldn’t make it “feel” as good as chromium does by default. Lots of native engineers have made the same discovery

@arbion_w this is the real constraint nobody talks about. agent with personal data access can't be a generic SaaS endpoint. self-hosting or private infra is the only clean answer

i shipped support for openclaw on ambit from my phone, using opencode (hosted on ambit), whilst walking to the shops.

ambit is the easiest way to host openclaw, and the easiest way to host the web apps it produces.

to be clear: you won't be able to access lazycoder.supercomputer without setting-up ambit. it's built to keep my personal opencode private, that's the point.

OpenCode on Android and Web, via Ambit. Works with any Claude Pro/Max or Codex subscription. Mine has a few coding agents running in the background, keeps shared projects in the cloud, etc.

Without Ambit, this would all be stuck on localhost, so you wouldn't get seamless operation between mobile and desktop with projects stored in the cloud.
