Really interesting. It pulls together the chronic problems of Ethereum and the reasons Cardano is superior that I've mentioned many times. The core problem pointed out here is Ethereum's ever growing permanent state. In other words, as time goes on, Ethereum node disk sizes keep growing, which leads to heavier node operation burdens and centralization concerns. Beyond that, global state also carries a lot of hacking vectors like MEV and reentrancy attacks, has issues with transaction result non determinism, and isn't particularly well suited to parallel processing. Cardano was built from the start on the eUTXO model, which doesn't have these problems. This is just an individual researcher's proposal, but I think it reflects a broader recognition across the industry, among capable engineers, that the UTXO model is the right answer for this space. As more chains in this market adopt the UTXO model, the reappraisal of the eUTXO model, already built on years of research and formal verification, will only grow. Cardano is severely undervalued in this market.
