way i see it there are 4 companies with a shot at owning 70%+ of model market share anthropic, openai, spaceX and… open source - anthropic & openai are on the verge of self-improving models. end game. - but spacex acquired cursor in the final inning. their harness gives them a legitimate shot at catching claude and gpt in coding. IF elon pulls that off then he’ll win on raw compute. no one has more gpus than him - open source wins if frontier models price out regular consumers. they’re good enough for 80% of uses. we’re starting to see this with microsoft switching to deepseek each of them are racing towards the golden prize of recursive learning, whoever gets there 1st will leave competitors in the dust every other model lab will fight over the scraps

I feel like I don't want to get my hopes up, but realistically, this gets me so excited

If Anthropic put out a $1000/month tier that gets 5x the $200 tier limits and also lets us keep Fable access, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Massive SEO News: Google is launching the most requested report in Google Search Console ever. A new AI performance report! Here's what we know so far: • It will include dedicated reports for both Search and Discover • The data will be reflected within Search for AI Overviews and AI Mode, alongside AI features in Discover • The report will only be focused on impressions within generative AI features, not clicks • The rollout will start with a subset of websites, allowing thorough testing (so keep an eye out!) There are some major limitations to this initial testing phase, where the actual queries that users are searching won't show in the report, with only impressions for pages, countries, devices, and dates. Though the dataset will be limited, this is certainly a step in the right direction!
