RISING SCAM ATTEMPTS TARGETING FARMERS AND NIGERIANS I am deeply concerned about the increasing attempts by criminal elements to exploit the difficult circumstances that Nigerians, particularly our farmers, are currently facing. These unscrupulous individuals are circulating fraudulent schemes, preying on the desperation caused by rising costs of living. Our nation is grappling with global economic pressures, compounded by local issues such as climate change. These factors have significantly impacted the availability and affordability of food. In response, this administration has introduced several intervention programs through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security. These include the distribution of fertilizers to farmers for free, Farm Input Support programs, sales of farm equipment/inputs at 70% discount at the ministry, distribution of 42000MT of grains to vulnerable people for free, deployment of agro rangers to protect farmers, sales of 50kg rice at ₦40,000, yremoving charges on food items and many more. Despite these efforts, we have seen a rise in fake empowerment and intervention schemes. Let me assure Nigerians that we are taking decisive action to protect you from these fraudulent activities. We are enhancing the security of our databases, conducting thorough background checks on all individuals and entities involved in our intervention programs, and continuing to educate the public on how to access genuine government support. I urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. We are committed to ensuring that all Nigerians, especially those in vulnerable communities, can benefit from our programs without falling victim to scams. Kindly be informed that our official website is agriculture.gov.ng and all programs will be listed on it, our official social media pages or through our social media team, unless otherwise stated. I remain committed to supporting our agricultural sector and the people of Nigeria during these challenging times.

He and mum eventually birthed me and my siblings. Dad managed to build his house, send me and my siblings to the university. He gave me my most “potent weapon” - EDUCATION! To summarize the man he is, I would say; to life and society, Dad was a survivor, to his wife and our family, he was a fortress, but to me, he was a HERO! Dad’s story may resonate with that of the average Igbo businessman - the survivors of life in its tempest ride!

He’s a “survivor!” Here is his story… Born into a royal polygamous home, as the first male child, he became a “prey” to a diabolic step-mother (who happened to be the senior wife). Anyone with knowledge of the “position” of the first male child in an Igbo royal home, of the 1950s-1980s, would understand why he’s a “prey”. Barely aged 2, he was hit with a crippling sickness. It was poison. A big hole developed in his heart - still there till this day. From running around happily, he was setback to crawling, then to lying down only, as his legs had seized to function. A day his chapter was to be closed, God extended his healing hand. A dibia, rode his bicycle from a very distant town, about 3 towns afar, to see him. Dad’s breath had seized, he was in coma, yet not entirely gone.

I sold my Ugu leafs 🍃🍃 in an open 🔓 market last week directly to the consumers! And people in the market were just looking at me like someone that wore backside of cloths! 🤷🏿‍♂️ 😂. I was able to finish the sells within 10 minutes. Why? Check CS!

With the present cost of farm inputs in Nigeria, farmers need to embrace sustainable farming practices to enjoy good farm yields with better profit margin. You can prepare your foliar spray by combining manure tea, wood ash and neem leaves together. It's very simple, let me show you how: - Get a 4L paint plastic (this is your measuring standard) - Get another big blue drum (200 Ltrs) - Collect neem (dongoyaro) leaves to fill the MS then grind or pound to extract the juice. - Pour the neem leaf/juice in the big tank - Collect wood ash from neighboring farmers, then pour it half filled of your MS into the big tank. - Locate a poultry farm closest to you, collect some cured poultry dung then measure to fill your MS - Add 40L of water to the mixture and allow to sit for 3 days - Mix the final mixture well then dilute on a ratio of 1:1 with water before you spray on your crops. It means 4L of the fermented mixture should be mixed with 4L of water before you spray. Don't forget to sieve it out to avoid blocking the spray nozzle. Enjoy your foliar spray fertilizer.

Like a dream come true, the @GreenportNg - Dutch Horticulture Partnership Project was launched on Thursday 21st of March, 2024. For the Nigerian and Dutch partners, that day was the crown on all our efforts over the past 2 years... and then some. #GreenportNigeriaProjectLaunch
