I just submitted "Just Hold Me" to the Visible Violets open call on 🙏@WebbieSocialApp 🎨@OneLoveArtDAO I painted a woman holding herself in her own arms, standing among flowers surrounded by everything that has happened in Iran and all the pain we have endured. I am certain the human mind was not designed to carry this much pain neither the mind nor the body. As I stood before my blank canvas, I thought about what it means to be a woman now a mother with a great responsibility, forced to dissolve her pain within herself just to keep the home warm. And as an Iranian a witness to thousands of mourners, to thousands of the eternal names of my homeland I carry a grief that has no language. Sometimes, beneath all the strength, I realize I only need a hug and a few flowers. Just hold me. Thank you for this open call. It is true that no one has held me yet but the patience of my brush, the colors, and the strength of my canvas have freed a large part of me.

We've all felt like this, I'm sure... This is the one that drew me in, but then I had to spend half an hour just browsing @RaminNasibov's feed. What an eye for visuals that captivate and surprise. Don't miss the logo he designed for the Paris Tennis Club. Graphic design + inspiration. I'm back from the almost-undeclared short break in Malaga. What a great place. 23 degrees when it was 6 in the UK. Why am I not living there permanently? I was reminded of something we've forgotten in the UK. Civic pride and efficient services. Why can't we have rubbish collected every night as they do there, instead of every two weeks? We arrived at the close of the Carnival. At 9am the next morning the lights were being taken down in Larios. In summertime the streets are hosed down nightly to remove the debris of the day. I didn't see a single pothole in 4 days. And so far as I can tell, the community charges to fund all of this are fairly modest. Retirement plans to Spain reinvigorated. Just a matter of when to pull the trigger.
