Most people treat tokenization like it’s just a digital sticker, but you’re spot on—if you can’t actually see the business mechanics underneath, it’s just window dressing. The real value in an RWA isn't just the fact that it's on a ledger; it’s whether that ledger makes the physical reality of the asset harder to hide. That’s exactly why @EthraShip feels like such a crucial stress test for the industry. Because shipping is so brutally physical, you can’t hide behind "vague claims" forever. A vessel is either positioned where it says it is, or it isn’t. A charter either produced a margin, or it didn’t. When you strip away the hype, you're left with hard operational data, and that’s the kind of transparency that actually turns a speculative token into an underwritable business. It’s honestly wild that shipping has been the backbone of the world economy for centuries, yet it’s been basically impossible for normal people to get a look inside. You always needed massive connections, a hedge fund budget, or serious capital just to get your foot in the door. @EthraShip isn't trying to reinvent how ships sail or how logistics work, which is smart—they're leaving the actual operations alone. Instead, they’re changing the game by letting people finally access the real assets, operations, and cash flows that keep global trade moving. What I really respect is their approach to the timeline. They spent years actually doing the maritime work before even touching the digital side. It feels so much more solid than those projects that launch a token first and hope to find a purpose for it later. It’s got me thinking about all the other massive, old-school industries that are still just sitting behind locked doors, waiting for someone to finally open them up. Is anyone else keeping an eye on maritime RWAs, or are we still super early on this?
