Europe needs its own Churchill, someone who will say clearly and without indecision and ambiguity: we must unite, we must have our own armed forces, because the security of Europe is, in fact, Europe’s responsibility. Europe should be grateful to President Trump for finally demonstrating that the world is nothing like many politicians imagined it. Europe is mature enough to take responsibility for its own security, including its nuclear security. If Europe wants to remain an actor in the world rather than the object of others’ decisions, it must have strong armed forces, including a nuclear component, and move forward. 📹: PM of Belgium Bart de Wever: I don't believe that Europe as a whole, with its 27 member states, can move towards military unification. But a number of core countries might be able to do so.
